Sorry if I'm once again preemptively destroying anyone's hopes, but the Blazers WILL NOT win tomorrow night. Despite the fact our last 2 games in Houston were lost by a total of 4 points, this final game won't be so close. The Blazers simply don't have the experience to handle this type of game. You will see. Furthermore, the Rockets have several players due for big games. That scares me. So does the defense. And our 2 big-game players, Rudy and Roy, will be largely burnt out. This is too much for them to accomplish by themselves. Sooner or later, people here will learn that you can't defy fate. What I've stated becomes fact by tomorrow. Just try not to act too surprised or upset when it happens.

Oh, and just one more thing that should assure you of tomorrow's loss: it's on TNT. We've yet to win a single nationally televised playoff game.

Fate is more powerful than God. You'll see. I'll know.

Mike, even if you end up being right, I can tell your future for that "Fate more powerful than God" statement. Should I tell you or keep it a surprise? LOL. I know you are fishing for a rise so I am not going to dignify you with one. I'm just gonna sit back and chuckle at your arrogance. You really are a numb one aren't you? LOL. By the way, people, if you continue to post here, you are only fueling his pride so after my post just let it disappear. Please God, let this guy disappear! (I'll take my chances with Him.)

Mike anyone can call a under dog game. Espn gives this one to Houston. If you really wanna impress someone make a call no one expects. Its well documented your not 100% and all your calls go right with espn you must be a ESPN insider how cute. Quit being such a loser and just cheer for your supposive team. Also give a point spread atleast be original and call how the game will go who will go off.

Espn isn't saying Portland will lose with 100% certainty. I am.

My point of calling this game is not to impress anyone. It's to warn you. This will be the final Blazer game of the season, so you should try to enjoy it for what it's worth.

No your intent is to raise a fuss. We don't care if it is the last game, we enjoy the ride. We only care that people like you have to try and tick us off. Take a lesson from Rip City and try to just enjoy it while it's here. They already surpassed our expectations this season when they were a 4th seed instead of a 7th seed. We're fired up for next season, GO BLAZERS! Anything they've gotten since is just gravy. You think you can call games, I know I can call people. We don't need a villain here, so go ahead and jump on the bandwagon completely. We'll still accept you. You see the philosophy of life isn't to wollow in the bad times, but rather to embrace them as a learning opportunity and look forward to the brighter future. You never know what might happen tomorrow, so why waste today being worried. Enjoy the game for what it is, win or lose. This is Blazer Basketball, this is...RIP CITY!

Mike, you understand that their experience is a lot more than ours but forgetting that our talent is beyond their reach. The experience was a huge problem in game 1 where we had most players walking around like ghosts. But looking at the remaining games there's not a single one that Rockets seemed like the experienced team. If we can somehow get Yao in the foul trouble look for us to get a blowout win. Otherwise we'll give them hell even if we lose. Nobody expects us to get past the 1st round but if we cannot believe then what's the point of fielding a team? Why not name someone the champion at the beginning of the season? There's more to playoffs than just being the older team.

I agree with you in the sense that I think the Blazers will probably lose. But Mike, nothing is certain. Who knows, maybe with their backs against the wall and 20,00 fans against them, maybe they'll be really loose and just do their thing. I think it's very possible that do or die is exactly the kind of motivation these young guys need to play out of their minds. We all know that top to bottom Portland is a much better team than Houston. Experience is the only thing they got on us. And the playoff experience they have is first round and out. Maybe they'll fold under the tremendous pressure. Cause it's definitely all on them.

The talent differential is negligible. When our "talent" includes unreliable players like Sergio and Travis, there is no true advantage. However, the Rockets have had the matchups advantage all series long.

As for Houston's experience being first round and out, that's what ours is about to be. Portland has historically been a first round team. This year is no different.

Let's set an example for all the amazing blazer fans out there by agreeing to disagree and not posting here anymore.

You wimp. It's easy to predict a loss, then you look smart when it happens, and if we do win, you can come back on here, make excuses why Houston lost, and tell everyone how happy you are you were wrong and predict a loss in game 7. If your really a Blazer fan, which I would take bets against, get a set and pick the Blazers tonight and Saturday.
And, if we do lose, I will be acting surprised and upset just like I do after every Blazer loss.

The Rockets and the Blazers seem to e a pretty even match up so the question is, what is a more powerful motive: success or survival? Tonight we will probably win because we are motivated by survival which is an instinct and intrinsic, not to win, which is secondary and extrinsic. Basic psychology. It will be dangerously close because Houston is at home.

I don't think that is completely accurate. Portland literally has to win in order to survive, but they know they are strong and can win. Houston on the other hand is weakened, they see Portland getting stronger, hitting their stride. Houston believes that they HAVE to win tonight in order to survive. So you have two survival instincts fighting each other tonight. It will be a battle royal.

And the Rockets coast to a comfortable win, just as I said. Artest (a player due for a breakout) kills us, just as I feared. And Rudy and Roy, amazing as they are, DID seem burned out by the end.

I'm not expecting apologies from anyone, as you'll probably just say I got lucky, once again. I hate to tell you this, but it wasn't luck. It was fate. If only the rest of you understood it the way I do.

No one killed this team in the series more than Travis Outlaw. He's a liability on defense and if he isn't hitting his jump shots (and he wasn't all series) then you're hurting yourself by having him on the floor.

The shame of it is that even though the odds were against the Blazers beating the Rockets in a 7-game series, they are the one team in the West that could give the Lakers a run for their money. Now the Lakers will have an easy path to The Finals. The Rockets will be lucky to extend it to 5 games against LA. Denver might last 6 games, but no more than that. It's all about getting the best matchups, and this one wasn't in the cards for Portland.

Dude you have always picked what accurascore thing on ESPN says every time. Your betting with the odds and acting like your a genius.

I have seen plenty of people pick out winners for each game over and over. Crap on ESPN they have the "win streak thing" where you can win 1 million.

To do so you have to pick the winners in certain sports match ups for 25+ times in a row. Guess what people have done it!! It is hard as hell to pull off even going with the favorite but it has been done. Your nothing special get that through your head most analysts said the same thing you did.

Mike, really, it is long past time for you to shut up. Odds are never 100%, even the lottery isn't 100% so just shut up. We are fans, we support our team, we rally around our team and we will believe they can win no matter what. That is part of being a fan. You really need to leave this alone, let it drop off the face of the site and try to become a productive member. Even the rocket fans on here are more productive than you. What does that say about you? You need to get down off the pedestal you've put yourself on and come back to earth. Nobody is getting fired up anymore by you, the series is over, we're looking forward to next season. You're just being annoying now. After this post, I refuse to respond to you and I highly encourage everyone else to do the same. If we ignore him, his posts will disappear and he will eventually give up. I know, I know Mike "I'm not gonna give up, you can't ignore me. You're all just mad because I'm God and I know everything and you all have blind love for your team." Yeah Mike, maybe we do, it's called fanhood. You can call yourself a fan, but really, you are just a poser. You're a bandwagon jumper who finds it easier to expect disappointment than deal with the sting of losing after hoping for a win. You also thrive off the negative attention you get by posting this garbage. We are all sorry your mommy didn't hug you enough as a kid, but stop bugging us and go see a doctor about it. I will be ignoring you now, just thought I would give you fair warning so you don't feel shocked that somebody doesn't care.

Who said anything about me being that great? All I've done is state a fact before it happens. I'm no more special than the weatherman when he says it will rain and it does. Doesn't mean I WANT it to rain. Again, it's a matter of knowledge.

Saying there's less than 100% chance is purely hypothetical. There's no such thing as anything but a 0% and 100% chance in reality. Something either happens, or IT DOESN'T. There's nothing in between.

Feel free to live in hypothetical land if you'd like. Just don't be upset when I periodically bring up reality.
