I think we need to find out what rudy can do as a starter, as well as armon johnson both in my opinion are great passing point guards who can score at will. some people may not like it but as a team portland needs to know who we will keep and who is up for trade, either now or at the end of the season.

Yes, please. He's quick, and he makes nifty passes. A starting lineup of Fernandez, Matthews, Batum, Aldridge, Przybilla could do wonders. The bench might suffer though.

The Armon Johnson suggestion is a bad one. He is ridiculously turnover prone. Yes he is young, but just give him time off the bench or something, not starting.

I think Armon isnt starter material right now, but Rudy has proved, especially in the last three games, that he is an asset and ahould get a starting nod. Miller has his positives, but he cant spread the court or play with the kind of energy and intensity that Rudy and Patty bring, while Rudy's defense hasnt always been tops, he has really stepped up to the challenge with the seemingly devestating injuries the Blazers are experienceing...really everyone is stepping up, it's good to see!

Patty rocks, but Rudy does too, and he can make plays, see the court well, and has the ability to be a point.

Sometimes I just shake my head at some of the ideas that people come up with. Has anyone watched the last few games at all??? It has been Miller who has driven this team in the right direction whether it be running the offence, making great passes and assists or making key shots and free throws. Rudy is in a great spot right now and that is off the bench early and with Patty Mills. They gel together with the type of play each bring which is fast paced. I would love to see Rudy a starter maybe oneday, but right now is not the time. Until he learns to control his decision making skills (which he has been improving on) he is fine where he is at. As for AJ, he just simply blew it himself. Nate was giving him the call early in the year and every time AJ came into the game he broke the offensive set, drives the lane with no place to go which leads to turnovers and he would chuck up like 5 shots in two minutes time...not good. That is why Patty is playing...he has more control of his game and has learned to stay within the offensive and not play just one on one basketball. Plus Patty has a darn good shot and is a great foul shooter. Plus, himself and Rudy get along great off the court and that shows ON the court. You might not think it makes a difference, but it does!!! I just don't get why Blazer fans are always ready to throw Miller out the door??? Makes no sence...

    peace out,
    daddy

Rudy is "too Inconsistent" to be  a starter, he may show up to play 4 out of 10 games.
I mean its already risky with WM being at what i consider 50 50, sometimes he is off, and people like rudy have one of their 4/10 great games, other times WM is killing it.
but with out  a doubt WM improves each day. Fernandez just isnt starter material.

imo he is like Pavlovich, he kinda starts, but he totally shouldnt, better role player.

The timing of this thread was hilariously precient.  I wouldn't trust Rudy to run an offense as he's a little too frantic but he and WM did a hell of a job stepping up.  Was hopin' Patty would have a better game with Miller out but he hit a big three when we needed it so good on him.  Get better soon Dre.  Lol Rudy at point...gonna' start callin' him The Inquisition 'cuz nobody expected him at point tonight before the game.
I am a fan of Rudy and Patty's off-court bromance.

Claver will make a great squad player when he develops his outside shot. His size is an asset because he can guard SF and stretch 4s. If he can be a better rebounder and add a post move to his game we could be looking at a possible answer to our f...
