I just want to hear your thoughts on our new general manager. Basically, do we have faith in him to make this team better. I know it's only been since July that he's been the GM and has few accomplishments in this Org. but what do you all think?

    few accomplishments, or mistakes?

Jerryd Bayless for a crummy draft pick.
Leaving a hole in lineup after Pendergraph got hurt in preseason.
Hiring Oberto for backup center, knowing he had a heart condition.
Allowing the NBA's trade exception for Oden to expire.

I'm no fun  when I disagree with Blazer management choices.  Cho stepped into a mess, and his hands are tied by the owner. The mess this team is in is not on Cho, and I hope he can fix it.

Honestly, he's been pretty much invisible so far. I like to imagine he's doing brilliant analysis and strategic planning behind the scenes. Stealth management. ;-) In about a month we can argue about his actual moves --when they've become visible.

I'm glad he's not trade-crazy, and has taken these few months to get to know the team. It remains to be seen how well that will pay off in these challenging circumstances.

     Well said.

Most of you know my feelings on this subject.

For the new Blazer fans to this site...Cho is the right man for the job.  Patience.  I would even go one step further than Occassia, in that I don't believe an accurate grade can be given until the start of next season (if no lockout).  Even then, he will just be getting started.

I don't expect any rotational players but Joel to be moved before the deadline.

As they say, the best moves are the ones you don't make. A no-move still is a move. When everyone else were clamoring for transactions, Cho kept his cool and it paid dividends. Despite the injuries, the team is able to play without some key guys. The players are able to have a chemistry, enabling them to learn how to play without the stars.

You guys made me glance at the schedule.

We gotta play the Lakers 3 more times,
    the Spurs 3 more times,
    Dallas and OKC twice,
    Boston,
some games against the heating up Hornets,
and a couple more against the Nugs and Jazz.

lotta season left, and for the second year in a row, we get to enjoy watching our severely banged up and shorthanded team, play against the best the NBA can throw at us.

Blazers will be blazers there aint nothing Cho can change about that, but i dont trust him because he came from the seattle sonic organization and if anyone knows anything about that is that there not to be trusted, and plus he went to Oklahoma before he came here yet i will give him this that he came back to the northwest because he knows the northwest has the best fans ever, and if Cho ever gets involved in a scandal like the sonics about the blazers we will have some big problems but for now hes doing the best he can, Nate McMillan also came from the Sonic s era but hes honestly the best thing that could of happened to the blazers

Why not? Getting Oden back for 15 a game wouldn''t be that bad if he can do as he did in his 1st season. Close to 2 blocks a game and anything close to 5 boards. He would provide a good presence and he can read the game quite well.

To go another season with so many rookies is not a good idea. We need a couple of vets and atleast one young bench scorer. If we want a Center, go after Hawes from Philly and Dorrell wright can be signed as a free agent. We can trade our 2nd round...

Thanks Ricky.   I''ll be watching @ 10.   Haven''t seen enough right hand from Shazamm.   Without the ability to take his defender either way off the bounce, let alone finish at the cup with either hand?   Second rounder at best.

Sug81 I love Iggy but this team has numerous gaping holes throughout the depth chart so signing Iggy is not the best way to spend our limited funds

That roster looks pretty good, but if we would have enough cash Corey or Ronnie brewer would be nice
