What is the key to victory?
    Forcing turnovers (5)
     38%
    Containing Brook Lopez (0)
     0%
    Bring the energy on a back-to-back (3)
     23%
Hold the Nets to under 50% shooting (4)
     31%
    Fast Break Points (1)
     8%

One game away from the halfway mark, the Trail Blazers stand pat at 20 wins and 20 losses. Losers of 3 straight, Portland is now just a mere 1.5 games ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies for 8th place out West. Just because this game is at the Rose Garden, doesn't mean it's an automatic W. The Blazers have lost back-to-back games at home and the Nets showed enough grit in beating Portland back in New Jersey earlier this year. But the Nets have managed to win just 3 games away from home this year, so add in the revenge factor and the Blazers should be amped up, ready to go tonight.

As great as Aldridge has been playing, him going off for big nights isn't enough. The bench needs more than one player to be on for the night. Portland needs more than just role players helping out LA on the offensive end. It's all about defense and frankly the D was weak last night. Once the game is over and if the Nets were held to under 50% shooting, attempted less than 15 free throws, and were forced into 15+ turnovers, then the Blazers will win the game. Defense wins the game tonight.

Also, if you're going to the game tonight, let's get Travis the standing ovation he deserves!

I think the key will be can they bounce back after last night's loss- they seemed pretty down. And the energy- the starters played a lot of minutes. We need some spark from the bench- Patty?

Looking forward to seeing Travis- wish he were still a Blazer.... would be nice to see a standing O....

The Blazers will most certainly need more than the 15 points they got from their reserves last night.  The starters nearly hit the century mark.  That is ridiculous.  Tired?  Ofcourse they are.  With that kind of production being required of the starters, the Blazers are again flirting with injury, as fatigue plays a significant role.  The Thrilla should get some opportunity tonight.

Standing O for Outlaw tonight!  Agree.

I didn't watch the game last night, but the fact we lost to Phoenix and allowed them to score well over 100 makes me want to shoot myself in the foot.  How embarrassing.  And the worse part is it was closed and the Blazers KNOW they let last night slide.  What happened last time?  They didn't answer, and played horrible against New York.  Would be more surprised if the Blazers won tonight than the Nets.

Nets are only 3 games back in the playoff hunt in the East. I know they only got 10 wins, but the East is always messy to start the season. New Jersey has already beat us, but they cheated in that game by putting Kim Kardashian in the front row.

Looked terrible there for a long while, couldn't guard them at all right from the opening tip and they were hitting everything and scoring easy baskets at the rim. Nearly another epic choke at the end of the fourth quarter with a bunch of misses in a row as the nets looked like they'd win, but Wes Matthews, wow, some great defense there with a few steals, got us over the line at the end.

you'll take the ugly wins too. New Jersey is tougher this year. Good thing Avery didn't stick with that big starting lineup, otherwise we might've had a different outcome.

Nets let that one slide.  The Blazers got the win, but they didn't win it.  However, you take it and move on.  This game reminded me very much of the New York game and Clipper game.  Sloppy, frustrating, but we ultimately got the victory (that part is like the Clipper game).

All I can say is the Blazers need to realize that in order to reach the playoffs they MUST start playing every game and taking it seriously, because other teams are going to against them.  This stretch looks easy, but every team in the stretch can bring a game that beats the Blazers, especially the way they've played the last 3 games.

There are no awful teams, so you can never play awful and get away with it unless you start playing seriously when it matters or the other team chokes.

The bench play is a worry, the last two games they've had something like 15 or 13 respectively and generally Patrick Mills scores 10-12 of those, so he's pretty consistent. Rudy has gone ice cold again unfortunately, was looking promising from him there for a few games but looks like he's going to continue to frustrate.

Well it all depends on what you use that cap space for doesn''t it sign Tony Allen and now your Batum for Dunleavy trade just became Batum for Dunleavy and Tony Allen and starts looking a lot better
