Would you do the rumored trade?
Yes - Throw in either pick, we can use his potential (10)
     33%
Yes - Only if we offer the New Orleans pick (13)
     43%
No - Randolph just isn't worth it (7)
     23%
    From Chris Broussard's Twitter-
NYK will trade Anthony Randolph for 1st round pick within next 2 weeks, sources say. Minny, Indy, Portland among likeliest destinations
I'm torn about this. While he has versatility, size, talent, and potential, I worry about a player who has been in the league 3 years and still failed to even string together a series of great games.

Its better to have a player on the court than to have a future player who might not play like Babbitt. Which i don't understand because he was almost a lottery pick.

well its that and the fact that, the picks hardly get to play, unless there is a commotion about that position.
I mean Mills barley go playing time, i swear the more we conversed about that point, the less time dre got.

Stop it, just stop it with Chris Broussards tweet while he was using the bathroom.

Anthony Randolph has played about 5 minutes this year. If we're gonna get a player, he'd best be in shape cuz the Sarge puts guys through the ropes in physical conditioning.

I saw him when he was with golden state and he looked pretty good offensively but he plays crappy defense so I dont like him that much.  Still, we could use more scoring off the bench right now so i think we should still trade for him if we cant get anyone better for our picks.

At this point, I like this trade rumor. The Warriors and Knicks both play small ball. Other than Amare, no big may ever get a chance to flourish with those teams.
LA needs help bigger than Dante at times.
With Pryz not 100%, ( he did look better last night with more time, fingers crossed that its conditioning and rust ) and Cambys age, Mr Cho needs to do something if they arent going to just tank the season.

Get someone young  even if they are raw, in here to learn from Camby while they can. I'm still liking the Thabeet idea too.

we definately should get him now since Camby is now having knee problems too.  We are going to have to start pryzbilla at center if we dont get Randolph or some other ok big man soon

Not unless we're talking 2nd round picks for Randolph. He can't stay healthy and hasn't really done anything in his 3 years. Those are red flags imo.

Necessity is a funny thing.  We NEED a big man that we know, esp with Camby's injury, but we can't just get a big for the sake of filling bench seat etc, we need someone good, a quality player who can play now and with promise of improvement, long-term benefit.  Dont go for some hasty deal.  I don't think Cho is one to make rash/hasty decisions but with injuries piling up the way they are in Ptown one never knows.

You are assuming Camby is going to stay around to teach someone whats up.
and as far as thabeet goes, watching this guy play, is like watching a toddler walk, its way to rough, and makes me ill.......

Deal, He has length and potential. We could beef him up and work on his D.

Picks at this point are worth shipping away. We have assists overseas and we already have a young team. Getting young guys with some NBA expierence sounds fine to me.

I'd do the deal. I doubt the pick (kept by us) would be played.
    Hey, it has size.
My main concern is the PG position. I don't think that the devon harris deal will come to life, but the blazers PG position needs to be revamped.

NY Daily News is reporting we do indeed have interest in Anthony Randolph-

Anthony Randolph's Days With Knicks May Be Numbered With Blazers Interested

A Blazers official confirmed that the team has interest in Randolph, but added that the team is not getting great reports on the 21-year-old.

"But he's also a guy that has the talent and is young enough where he might just work out," the source said. "There aren't many players in the draft like him."

Portland's interest in Randolph increased when Marcus Camby had knee surgery that could sideline him for one month. The Blazers are already missing their best player, Brandon Roy, while Greg Oden is out the entire season. Dante Cunningham is currently the Blazers' first big man off the bench and yet head coach Nate McMillan has the team in contention for a playoff berth.
Yes, he has potential, but he hasn't flashed it off very often. He can't even get off of the Knicks bench and does he even have a true position? I suppose I wouldn't hate the deal if all we gave up was the Hornets pick since that pick doesn't look promising with NO back on track.

Looks like we have a trade exception from the Bayless trade, so we can just trade a pick straight up for Randolph.

But, we do have a 15 man roster already. I wonder if we would have to cut someone or if we could be granted another injury exception and would be able to add another player.

Randolph is a lesser Lamarcus Aldridge. If it's just for the season, then I can make sense of acquiring him, it's a deeper bench when Camby comes back and provides more versatility and athleticism while Camby's out. Long term, beyond this season, I don't know that it'd be worth the money to keep him on the roster unless some other guys are knocked off.

I wouldn't give up the Hornets pick.
The Hornets are playing well, but not well enough to keep Chris Paul there.
Once he leaves, that pick will be gold.
