    Chance before this year's trade deadline : 2%

    What cost: Batum, Rudy, Joel and Andre's expiring contracts, Dante Cunningham, and Two first round draft picks... then we'd have to take on Paul and Okafor cuz of his huggeee contract

    You might want to ask Cp3 if he even thinks this team is worth a move.
    or if he wants to come here.

    Didn't he have Portland on his list of the 5 places he'd want to go?


    As for getting CP3, it's always been a possibility, but we'd need to wait until he opts out and becomes a free agent, or try to satisfy New Orleans by giving up lots of talent.  However, CP3 won't want to come here without Brandon Roy being effective.  I'm 100% sure the reason CP3 wanted to come here is  because he has a great relationship with Brandon Roy and this team has a lot of potential.

    Westbrooke isn't the type of point guard Portland needs.  Chris Paul is.

    Westbrook is the type of pg every team needs, if they want to win it in the playoffs. 
    I hope NO and OKC meet one round, just for Blazer fans and owner in denial  with the little ones. Although seeing has not been believing  so far. Portland should rename the Wilamette the De-Nial .

    Not just Blazer fans. CP3 getting the all-star votes  over Westbrook ,is like Yao.
     A popularity contest. I hope they quit letting fans do the voting soon.

    Paul is a leader and Westbrook is a supporting cast member.
    But without westbrook you can guarantee theyd be sayin " Kevin Who?

    Portland has the pieces to get this deal done...pieces attractive to NO.  We would have to take Okafor and his bad contract back, along with Paul.  Okafor would fit well here at center and doesn't have any significant history of injury.  The biggest issue with bringing Paul here is the distinct possibility of losing him after just one season (or less, with a lockout).  We would likely still be in a rebuilding mode after making the deal, as it would leave our bench even thinner than it is now.  However, ticket sales would no longer be a worry for the front office.

    Portland has absolutely NO chance at getting CP3 he will either stay with Hornets  or sign with NY plain and simple no other outcome PERIOD.

    Paul may have listed Portland as a place he'd like to go, but that was before all the Brandon Roy knee problems fully surfaced... and Oden's 2nd microfracture.

    Portland would have a good chance of getting CP3, I say  go after him we need somebody like him or we will never be a deep playoff contending team, Roy will never be the same so we can count him out.... and if we could possably get okafor with cp3  why not try to go after it.... it would be one of the smartest things portland has done in a while.
