    From ESPN New York-
The Nuggets are by no means the only NBA team with interest in Batum, a 22-year-old small forward from France averaging 11.1 points and 4.5 rebounds. But the Nuggets could have the means to acquire him if their talks with the New Jersey Nets ever come to fruition, because the Trail Blazers would only consider trading Batum if they were getting back a comparable player plus a likely lottery pick, and the Nets have offered their own No. 1 pick (along with different combinations of No.1 picks owed to them in 2011 and 2012 by the Lakers, Rockets and Warriors) in their efforts to acquire Anthony from Denver.

Looks like not even the Blazers can escape the MeloDrama....I just don't understand it. Why gamble on acquiring a lottery pick now, if that's your goal for Batum's return, instead of just waiting until the Draft Lottery has taken place? At that time, we will know who picks where, because New Jersey's pick is nothing if they land Melo. They'll for sure make the playoffs in the East.

The Nuggets like Nic, we get it. At this point, guys are just re-hashing old stories just to read their own words.

The Blazers management is surely smart enough to realize the value of Nic and not trade him at this point of his development. Where would the Blazers be this year with our defensive stopper?  The Heat game was a prime example.  LBJ was clearly frustrated at a couple of points during that game.  Not many players can say that.

My foreign language skills are a bit rusty but I would venture to say you're in agreement with my thoughts.  Another thing I noticed is that Nic's offense seemed more aggressive last night.  I wondered if that had to do with his offense feeding off the success of his defense. Keep up the good work, Msr. Batum!

Nic is going to be an All Star in the future, trading him is ridiculous.

I mean do we really want a "comparable" player from the Thuggets?  They dont have anybody that would really want on our squad.... maybe Nene, just for depth at center......  But Nic's just has too much upside, which is why the Thuggets want him.  Jeez and can you imagine Nic all tattooed up in a year or so over there?   No way Portland!

hHmm, that seems pretty good. i just looked up this guys stats, he's got good size and there were some dope videos of him and his speed on youtube, maybe we should look into getting this guy, maybe he could evolve into something LBJ-esque.

Dont think they trade him for JJ tho, they can just sign Hickson.

I watched Shabazz at the combine and he was a poor shooter.  In fact he did  so bad he did not even show up for drills in day two.  He may be a scorer not a shooter.  If he throws up enough shots he scores.  If someone looks a...

I would agree LMA is a decent defender but his help defense and team defense needs a lot of work. It is in these areas that Bosh really separates himself from LMA and it is because of that he is a better player than LMA despite not putting the sam...

I was looking at some shooting stats and came across a very very alarming stat. LMA was the league leader in FGA from 16-23 feet. Not only was he the leader he was lead by a mile. His 7.3 attempts from this distance easily outpaced Demar Derozan w...

Sug I would start with him outscoring Wesley Matthews. He also needs to get his FTA up and his FG% up and cut down the turnovers.

His defense was decent last year but not that good as he is either too weak or just unwil...
