Juwan Howard played just one of his 17 NBA seasons with the Trail Blazers,  but as he stood on the Rose Garden court after the Miami Heat’s Sunday morning shootaround, he had a big smile as he remembered his 2009-10 with Portland.

“I have a soft spot for this place,” Howard said. “This organization, my teammates, the fans – I miss ‘em.”

And he has very good things to say about LaMarcus, too. There speaks 17 seasons of NBA wisdom.

yeah i remember one really cool play where camby blocked a stoudamire shot, amare got it back but juwan striped it out of his hands down low and amare tried dunking a handful of air.

What a class act guy. Another player I wish Portland had 8 years ago. Him and Camby together for that long here? O man!

I miss Juwan too, but realistically where would he play? I'm glad Dante's getting some backup minutes off the bench and I know Juwan wouldn't be happy as a 3rd stringer, filling in only when necessary.

Realistically? I have no idea. Unrealistically, I'd have enjoyed that enforcer-like vibe around the RG the past couple of games...

i miss juwan too he was a class act but there was not much room for him and good to give the playing time to dante who needs to be developed more.  we have that enforcer in la...what a great guy.  he helped portland last year and helped our guys with veteran leadership. so thankful we still have marcus camby who has turned out to be a great aquisition for us

i'm only echoing what has been said, but Juwan was a total class act and made a very big impact with fans last year. i've said this before on Mike Barrett's Blog; for how he stepped in last year as our "insurance policy," i think he's last year's team mvp. i'm glad he got the reception from fans that he did.

Aldridge is underrated. David Lee average 18 points and 11 rebounds, and was a doormat defensively. Aldridge averaged 21 and 9 and was good defensively. Leading rebounder on the Blazers was JJ...

Or Dallas keeps pick and drafts a foreign player meaning he does not count against the cap. No one is just going to give up a mid level first round pick even in a weak draft for 2 mid second round picks in an even weaker second round of a weak dra...

Well it all depends on what you use that cap space for doesn''t it sign Tony Allen and now your Batum for Dunleavy trade just became Batum for Dunleavy and Tony Allen and starts looking a lot better
