Well, with a win over Houston, pushing them back, we now have to fear Memphis who is tied for 9th seed with Houston.  But, when we look forward, we're not too far behind New Orleans and Denver, who both lost tonight.

The Blazers upcoming schedule is very favorable for the Blazers, going against teams we play fairly well against.  I don't expect us to sweep the month of January (especially since the Heat are in this schedule), but I do believe this is the schedule the Blazers are happy to have in order to get back into the running and maybe grab 6th seed, or better if OKC continues to disappoint.

The Blazers HAVE to win all these easy games.  Most are at home, but the road games should be wins as well.  Effort and energy are key.

Same.  I'm pretty confident we'll lose to the Heat.  They're the best team in the league and will win the championship.  Just because they lost to Boston twice when they were still trying to figure things out doesn't mean Boston will wipe the floor with them.  I won't be too hurt when/if the Blazers lose to the Heat.  I also don't feel so good about Boston.  We always tend to make it close against Boston and fall short.  I think we *COULD* beat Boston, but Rondo is a force to reckon with.  He's the whole reason Boston is still elite.  They didn't do so good with him out.  He had 21 assists when Boston was at 90 points.  Not sure how many he had in the whole game.

New York has been rolling.  But,  LaMarcus has a personal vendetta with Amar'e, so that could be a tight game.  The other teams we just seem to always win against in ugly fashion.  Hopefully it doesn't come to bite us in the rear.

We could possibly take McCollum with the 10th pick and trade him to the kings for Marcus Thornton. I would personally prefer if we kept McCollum because he can give us scoring off the bench and he will bring that maturity of having been in college...

What happens if we don''t win? Dwight will start his nonsense, we would be out a lot of money, and with no real talent to show for it. San Antonio and Memphis is proof that you don''t need superstars to win.

Special K, aren''t you a cereal? And yes, Batum is expensive, but I think he''s worth it. Why would you take someone who isn''t is as good, just for less money. Then why don''t we take the worst possible player and pay him the least possible amoun...
