Appears Griffin will be in it, but look at his fellow contestants.

For real?  I haven't seen anything explosive from Jennings or Ibaka.  McGee missed like two wide open dunks in a row.

I don't want to sound like a hater (I guess I have been lately since Blake competes with LaMarcus for a ASG spot and Griffin is overrated while LaMarcus is underrated), but I doubt Griffins creativity.

Just my thoughts - it's going to be boring, and we all know how exciting the contest has been the past 2 years.

No, I actually think Ibaka has had some sick dunks from this year and last. I've seen him on sports center a couple times and on youtube. But yeah, Jennings... ? That one I was surprised by haha I really like Brandon Jennings, but as a dunker? That one was a bit odd to me, but it's probably because many other players that would put on more of a show just don't want to be in it. Heck, if I was a player, I'd rather have the five days off to rest and not participate in something like this. But hey, maybe we'll actually see something new this year!

All of these guys, Blake in particular are spectacular put back dunk guys. But creativity all alone in the air is something else altogether. Jennings' vertical is suspect. JaVale is ... put it this way, he's not on our radar as a trade interest. LeBron's excuse for not entering is that he feels that Blake would have an unfair advantage on his homecourt.  So he wont be taking his talents to L.A..

I agree with LeBron.  Blake Griffin is an overrated player, and dunker as well.  I mean, don't get me wrong, he's good, but I think his moves make people think he's better than he is.  LeBron would have no chance, especially in LA, where he's hated more than in Cleveland.  Griffin meanwhile has revived the entire Clipper franchise.  He's a hero while LeBron is a villain, and the villain never wins in that town.

Nate Robinson beat Rudy with by doing a dunk where he jumps off the back of a crouched dude in the key.

The dunk contest goes through phases. I cant believe people that say it is boring now. Last year's was boring yes, but Dwight Howard had like 3 or 4 of the most amazing dunks ever in the dunk contest in recent years. Griffin has the leaping potential to do something spectacular, now we just need to see if he can come up with something creative. Javale can jump too.

Lebron is truly a wuss, he would fold under the pressure and he knows it. Just like he did in game 5 last year and the playoffs the year before. That is why he doesn't do it, he's chicken and he's afraid he'll look bad.

i just noticed this, tom if there was any validity in this statement then LeBron wouldnt of made it through HS, wouldnt of been Drafted number 1, wouldnt have become the youngest person to get a trip dub, probably wouldnt be still playing, more than likley wouldnt of nailed back to back MvP's, probably wouldnt of, no for sure wouldnt of made that commercial, pretty sure he wouldnt have started the numerous companies he has, doubtfully would of founded the LeBron James Organization, and then you talk about pressure off the court, wouldnt of had a son, better yet, wouldnt of had 2 sons, probably would of left the girl hes with instead of staying by her side for as long as he has, his shoes would all look the same, and then to go back on the court, he def would not still be winning.......you know...you may have something here....this is good.

Barton has some potential he is too thin at the moment. He is also a little out of control at times, which he improved a lot as the season we on. His shooting though was just dreadful at times which is why I pushed for him to go to the d league so...

joint option for year three at like 8 million. Then if he works out you got him for a bargain for 2-3 years and if not it costs only 1.2 million for next year.
