So we go into Denver tonight with Marcus day-to-day, which could hurt us in the middle. Anthony is questionable for tonight's game, which is good news for us. The Nuggets are not going to be as hard to beat as they have been in the past, they have lost 6 of the last 9 and are pretty streaky shooting right now. If we can play good defense and keep the Nuggets fast break points down, we should have a pretty good chance of winning. Rebounding the ball will be key as well. If we can get them without our big men in the middle we should be able to cut down on Denver's fast break points. LA should be able to have a big night on the boards and in the paint, scoring. Denver is allowing points in the paint this year as well as not being a very big rebounding threat. So my keys to winning this game are 1)Limit Denver's fast break. 2) LA has a big game (Rebounds/Scoring) 3) Take advantage of Denver's lackluster defense. 4) Keep our shooting % around 48 and Denver's below 43%. What are your thoughts on the game, what do we need to do to get a W in Denver!

Camby on Twitter last night sounded fairly confident about playing against Denver. It would figure that Melo would return as well, which will give that team an emotional boost. Can we do the unthinkable again? We did it during our 13 game winning streak 3 years ago, so it is possible. We really just need to continue to attack the basket like we did last night. If we settle for jump shots, the game is over.

Good to hear that we might have Camby tonight. The Nuggets are not a good rebounding team, so we will need his presence in the middle. I agree with Dhawes22 that we need to attack the basket, I believe that we should have a good in doing that against Denver. Joel is out til the 30th game against Utah per Yahoo Sports.

Hope Marcus plays tonight- we need him in the middle. I'm hoping they can continue with the momentum from the Utah game to get a win against Denver tonight!!

The word is "attack". As impressive as LA's performance was last night (which it was!), so was Fernandez, Matthews, and Miller. We are going to all of them again tonight for a win. We have a good record in the 2nd of back to back games. It could get done...

3 steps to beat Denver tonight:

1.) Shoot well from the floor (LA and Wes I'm looking at you).
2.) Control the boards ( LA yes again, Camby if he can play, everybody else box out and hustle for the ball).
3.) Bench, bench, bench (Rudy set the tone)

Keys to beating Denver on their floor..

    1. Defense and rebounds leading to easy baskets.
    2. Matthews and Fernandez combine for 35 points, Aldridge puts up 25 points and grabs 10 boards.
    3. Bench gets involved and everyone has fun!

I missed last night's game and they won. Tonight, I got to watch the game and they lost terribly. Maybe i should just stop watching Blazer games the resst of the year?

The team looked very tired to me.  That, and even with LA posting the line he did, the need for another bonafide offensive weapon was painfully obvious

Tired is exactly what they are. You can't win in Denver without a center. How many more years are we going wait ?
    Marks is not the answer.

The 5 points in 2 seconds was what did us in tonight. They rode that wave of momentum all the way through the second-half.

Kim, i know you don't like Sean, but you have to realize, he was not signed to be a part of the regular rotation. he was signed as an emergency guy before we knew Greg would not be returning this season. we've needed that help this season. i think you're overemphasizing the long-term plan for Sean (there isn't one).

i do agree that our lack of center certainly hurt us last night. LaMarcus has a much easier time inside if he has another guy who can at least help with the rebounding load. just think of how much better of a night LaMarcus could have had with some help.

You what I dont like, is people assuming that because I don't see certain players as a good fit for our team, that I just don't like them. I don't know Sean or Patty.   Everyone on this site needs to REALIZE THAT !

My point, is that when will management quit waiting for Oden ??   How many years will that take ??  Why is it, that 4 years later, we are still not carrying a 3rd center with Pryz, Oden and Cambys history of injuries?
What is it going to take ??
I am not buying that Marks is the best that the Blazers can do for a back up big. It's to soon to give up on the season, and IMO, not getting LA and Camby help right now is giving up on the season. Pryz is not 100%.    I <3 Dante, but he is NOT a center. Why make the Bayless trade, and get the oden exception to do nothing ??
If Mr Allen opened his wallet for bigs , instead of collecting mini pgs, we wouldnt even need to have this conversation 4 years later.

Maybe if I had not watched this same plan for 4 years , I would be as opptomistic as others. I actually used to be, 4 years ago. Management knew going into this season, that Pryz and Oden were both question marks.
I'm sorry if the Blazers don't want to hear they could be doing better.

You hit it on the head, LA needs help, and if Cho isnt going to get him help, he should at the least buy stick um by the barrell for Marks hands so he can hold on to rebound.

When the Blazers try a different plan when they want a different outcome, I won't sound like a broken record.
To each his own. You youngsters think you know everything in one season.......

Kim, there's no need for us to waste time assuming things about you when you post your dislike for a player in practically every other comment you make. we get your point, and we get your point about Greg as well. got anything new?

oh, and for the record, my use of the term "dislike" had nothing to do with whether you actually thought they were good guys or you knew them. for the record.
