iv herd on a few sites that because the good play from kyle lowry, houston could be willing to trade arron brooks, who i think would be perfect for this team. i dont think we have what houston wants, but we could involve a team that wants andre and camby or joel. possibly houston would want to get in on the bobcats deal? gerald wallace is a sf. but is a pf. at heart, so i think he and that crowded wing position in houston can work well.
the deal could look something like this

Dont know about shipping Patty. Jefferies is a down grade of Dante so i don't believe thats in the teams best interest. As much as i would like to see aaron in Portland , it wouldint happen.

Brooks(Recent injury) + His contract expires this offseason so we could possible make a run at him.

I think Camby also would be not worth dealing away in this trade.

I've also heard the Rockets are looking to trade Yao's expiring contract for an established player, even if it means taking back a bad contract. What if we did Roy + Przybilla for Yao + Brooks. The Blazers seem to be playing better without Roy anyways plus getting Yao's 17 mil. expiring contract could clear a lot of cap space to go after a FA and also re-sign Brooks. Then we would have a "PG of the future" and we would be free to make the Miller deal to get Gerald Wallace.

But I would try to get a 3rd team in on the Bobcats trade, maybe the Hornets to get a more established big man back in the deal like Okafor if we're giving up Camby. Something like this...

its not about jefferies, he probly wont even play. its about aaron brooks, and patty is just a throw in, theres no way he wud be a dealbreaker. brooks is defenetly worth wat the blazers wud be trading, thats if the 2 other teams are down, but this is all just wishfull thinking

I'd be all for Brooks as he'd compliment LA and Wesley very nicely. It all depends on the price tag.

I like Brooks, he already has a fanbase here, and he's a local. I could see picking him up, but he is not worth any combination of the players considered above. Miler + Camby? No way.

I really like the idea of going after brooks.  Ideally if we could end up with Brooks & Crash that would be great.

That's why I also have us getting Okafor if you read the whole post. Then whoever is healthy between Oden or Yao could be resigned as a backup. Plus, Aldridge seems to play better with smaller lineups anyways. So if we decided to run more, we could put LA at center, swing Gerald Wallace to PF, and still have Brooks, with some combo of Matthews/Nic/Rudy in the lineup.

I like this as well.  Met Aaron at a Ducks game and he said he would love to play here.  Good fit, on and off the hardwood.

You wouldn't trade Miller for a younger, better, local player?  I also like trading for anothing post maybe Luis Scola for Nicolas Batum

      PG
      Brooks Mills Johnson
      SG Roy Fernandez
      SF Matthews Fernandez
      PF Scola Camby Cunningham
      C Aldridge Camby Marks

I don't know sounds good to me with Yao done its their time to rebuild and getting expiring contract in Miller and young talent in Batum (maybe throw in Babbit) plus a pick.

Obviously generating offense is our problem and after the trade we'd have an explosive offensive starting lineup with Scola (20ppg, great player, reminds me a lot of LA, not even league-wide attention), Matthews (20ppg as a starter), Roy (20 ppg), Brooks (20 ppg, 5 ast [last year], instant fan favorite, can spread the court) and Roy (who knows how good he'll be when he comes back?) We also have Rudy playing the 2 and 3 off the bench where he should get around 25mpg which he deserves the way he's playing.  Plus if Oden could come back and stay healthy for once, we could be easily the top team in the league

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
