What is Brandon Roy worth in trade and what would you be willing to take in exchange for him?

I am wondering if trades came up what would I be happy with as a fan. I know that I would be OK with a couple of role players and draft picks...I dont see it as rebuilding I see it as retooling... Is Brandon ever going to be what he was or are we destined to pray for the best and have only hit and miss success with him in the line up. I think I would choose to move forward with the team we have and add other healthy players... Cant believe even though they knew about his knees they gave him that contract. Pay for future based on performance in the past and information you have relative to his well being...

Sorry but I want players to play...not hope day to day that they play...how can i root for that?
I am a fan of LA becoming the player I thought he could be....

I think we should trade Roy for a pack of ice, cortizone shots, and a Gatorade commercial for L.A.  We play better without him on the court, and Nate coaches better when he stops calling Roy isolation plays.  I don't care what we get in return for him, we need him off the court.
I am a fan of blazers playing harder than anybody else on the court

You could root for your team and stick with them through thick and thin like the rest of your fellow blazer fans...

But here is the thing, everyone who is turning on roy and saying "lets shop him while we can, his knees are blown"
Well they are identifying the problem with "shopping him around" right there, because his knees are gone, some of you dont want him on the team anymore.
Who else is going to take him? you talking about how worthless he is to this team, so how does that work for anyone else....
I mean he is going to play better on this team more than any other, and i would bet his career on that, cartilage or not.

...and in turn, the Grizz trade Roy to Minnesota for someone I don't know who (which obviously makes it a three-way trade) :P

Thabeet is still very raw.  He has a lot of potential but we need a staff that can teach him to play gracefully.  He will never be a power center he doesn't have the body mass.  If LA continues working on being aggressive, we get a coach that will teach Thabeet the sky hook, and a coach that runs inside out offense, then yes Thabeet would be a good investment.  That being said, I have not given up and Roy and wish him the best as a Blazer, a player, a person, and a husband/father.

I guess the question is more one of measuring the pros of a team minus broy. As a fan, I would like to see roy rested for the remainder of this season opening a spot for batum and rudy to expand their roles. There's no need for a rushed trade when we have underutilized talent ready to step up... IMO Batum could fill roy's role by himself. Batum at his best adds an element of versatility offensively and lock down length defensively. Roy resting could be a blessing as everyone else will look to take the opportunity to step up. So whether it's Batum Westley of Rudy, I believe Roy alone is less than these players collectively.

I definatly DONT think we should trade him for any draft pick spots unless it's all of them! Our staff Sucks at chosing draft picks so I'd rather just get a player that we know can play and has a little bit of experience.

    •  We should NOT EVEN THINK OF TRADING ROY!!!!!
    • He should rest this season and then next season he should play a bit in the post and as a shooter.
    • After he realizes he won't be beating people off the dribble anymore he can be retool his game and still be valuable on this team.
    • He might even be a consistent 6th man off the bench.
    • I still think he has some good basketball left in him if he learns how to play in a new role.

if we still get 10th pick. i would look at mccollum, shabazz, pope, dieng, gobert, and franklin. the best choice would be shabazz or franklin. shabazz would be a deadly 3 pointer when team are not covering him. franklin would be nice but i never rese...

I don''t mind rosters, they are good. Shows that our fans aren''t stupid. But try to have some consistency. You change them too much.

joint option for year three at like 8 million. Then if he works out you got him for a bargain for 2-3 years and if not it costs only 1.2 million for next year.

Rookies are fine a team should be able to carry 5 of them easily. The problem with us last year was we had no depth in front of the rookies. Lillard and Leonard as lottery picks should have gotten lots of playing time, which they did. However, Bar...
