With all the talk about how LA and Rudy have stepped up in the past couple weeks, let us not forget about the performances of Matthews and Dre. Matthews has been in the starting lineup for about a month now and has been the replacement for Brandon Roy. Since then he has averaged 19.5 points per game, around 35 percent from behind the ark, had numerous steals, and shooting around 47 percent from the field. Wes has had some big shoes to fill, from what I have seen, he has done just that since being a starter. I can recall off the top of my head at least 4 times he hit big shots, and about as many he has come up with big steals. Point is he is a very active player and one of the best off season moves we have made in recent history (in my opinion). I was thinking to myself last night during the Bucks game in the first quarter, where we would be without Wes right now. Who else but Matthews to get us jump started in the first, and an impressive first it was for him. Point is Matthews has filled the shows of the man he is filling and quite well, still can't believe he was undrafted.

Dre has been the talk of trade as of recent, but why? Because we might be able to get someone else for him. We will not get any player more consistent than Dre. For one, you can count on him being in the lineup every game, creating much needed baskets, and he is money with his 18 foot jumper. Not to mention that he is one of the best ally oop passers in the NBA, number 3 in assist among active players, and before LA or Rudy stepped up, was the one carrying the team. He is a veteran player and runs the offense very well. Once again before there was Rudy to LA, let us remember that Dre was the guy throwing up the ally oop pass to the L-Train.

I am not trying to take anything away from the success of LA and Rudy lately, they have both been impressive. I am merely mentioning the fact that we should not forget about the guys in the shadows right now, for we have seen how quickly players emerge from them.

i agree with u on both facts but miller will be gone proably this year if not next. if we dont trade him he will leave on free agent. And i do think there is a more permanent PG for us out there just waiting to find him.

No question these two should get the credit of what we been doing as of late they been rock stedy for us. It will be intresting to see when a couple of our players get back because the synergy and the chemisty is great, the offense is more free and you can see that everyone is have fun and of course winning helps, but will it continue especially on this road trip.

I agree for sure. Overall, i thnk Wesley has been one of the most consistent ever since he took over roy's spot. I personally think that he gave everyone around him some confidence and also the motivation to do something. He was the one that always kept playing hard no matter how bad things were going and I think that is finally rubbing off on everyone and no Rudy and LA are stepping up big time which is awesome and Wesley continues to play good solid ball.

Dre has been a solid player for the team. He takes over when needed and hits big shots game in and game out. Wes has been steady since becoming a starter. What makes his acquisition even sweeter is that he came from a division rival.

Lets also not forget, Wesley was hired to do just what he is doing, the fact that Roy's injury prone knees broke out, Oden not coming back, just overly dramatized his performance
