Unfortunately for he and the Houston Rockets fanbase, it's looking that way.

    Via Ball Don't Lie-
It should be noted that this stress fracture isn't related to the stress fractures Yao has had to deal with in his actual feet, and that it's only related to the ankle sprain he suffered in November, but if the guy can't come back from a sprained ankle without one of his bones developing a crack (stress fractures aren't clean breaks, but they're serious stuff nevertheless), how is this ever going to work?

"This is very sad," Rockets owner Leslie Alexander told KRIV-TV in Houston. "This is a very disappointing moment in the history of the Rockets organization, for our wonderful fans, for the city of Houston and for everybody in our organization. I feel terrible for Yao."

As a Trail Blazers fan, this hurts to see. I was never a huge Yao fan, but the guy was dominant. And I hate seeing careers being shortened due to injury.

His career is unfortunately over. He was just way too big. 300 pounds for human bones was just way too much.

Now they are saying his season is definitely over. Gotta feel bad for Yao and the Rocket fans... we know all too well what it feels like to wait a year for a player  to return, only to get injured again to miss the entire year again!

Rockets could of prevented this but they i heard they called up Portlands Medical Staff and asked "what should we do? one of our best players is hurt."
And Portland Responded " Oh yeah you should totally keep playing him, We just got Roy back in 8 days after he hurt his knee, oh yea, and im betting we will totally whoop the suns...."

Rockets were doomed when Tmac blew

With all due respect, Tay your humor is lame and your story telling is extremely lacking, predictable and extraordinarily prosaic.

    I'm seriously.

Yeah I was one of them *blushes*. I was never a diehard fan of basketball until the 2011-2012 postseason. I could name every team, but I always forgot two. Kings and Blazers.

Yeah, he was tripping with that Scottie Pippen reference. Nowhere as good as him, BUUUTTT, I think he can be, if he plays like a man. In Euroleague, you are taught more about finesse, and the fundamentals. He needs to put a little more muscle on, ...

I think what Stotts is doing is superb. His plays are great. I remember the only play he ever called for Meyers Leonard, against the Bobcats. Great movement, got LMA a good mid range look, got Batum a decent three look and the got Meyers way down ...
