There's been no better remedy for the Trail Blazers over the years than the Wolves, a team they have defeated 12 times in a row. Not only is this a winnable game, but Portland finally gets back to playing in the RG. Their 16 road games are the most of any team played to date and the Blazers have won their last 3 in the friendly confines of the RG.

Portland welcomes back Martell Webster for the first time as a member of the Wolves and Lake Oswego native and rebounding machine Kevin Love will be there in person as well. The Wolves are young, similar to us in 06-07. They have been scrappy lately, not winning but not getting bullied over. Beasley and Love are dynamic at what they do, scoring and hustling respectively, so the Blazers better make sure to bring their "A" game tomorrow night.

To win, the bench needs to continue to bring the energy, much as they did last night and Portland needs to attack the rim. The Wolves are not imtimidating on defense so we should expect much more of Aldridge on the low blocks attacking the likes of Love and Milicic.

Also, don't forget about the Tweet UP! I'll be there along with Casey, Sarah and others and you could win free ticket upgrades...even to courtside seats!

Man, I hope we don't underestimate this team.  There really are no more bad teams in the league, and the wolves, although they can't pull out a W, are a really good team, believe me.  The one thing lacking for the team is defense, so the offense needs to capitalize.  I agree with you Hawes on how we need to attack the rim and go to Aldridge.  It will be an exciting game, but I won't be surprised if the Wolves come out and shock us.

As for the game,  I hope Nate rests Roy.  The man looks really frustrated.  Sure, his knee is bothering him, but last night I saw him create some open shots for himself and got some good looks, they just weren't falling.  Any baller here knows that nothing is more frustrating on the court than being ice cold (it's why players never tend to switch their game to attacking the rim if their jumpshot isn't falling).  Roy needs a mental and physical break from the NBA game, and this upcoming stretch would be a good one to start it at.  A 29 minute, 4 pt 4 assist Roy isn't what this basketball team needs.

Beasley is fierce this year, and idk what position he is working the best at, but we have to keep in mind with all their bigs, they are going to cause major matchup problems

Just got word from our PR guy that Brandon Roy (knee) will miss these next three home games. Will it help or hinder us against the Wolves tonight?

I think with Roy being gone, it will open up a new look for the Blazers team. We won't have to make a game plan that centers around Roy... Stoked to see what happens tonight!

If I was Nate, this is the PERFECT time to give Rudy what he has wanted...start him tonight!!! Keep Batum coming off the bench with Patty and let Rudy have a whirl at getting the game off the ground. This is a game we should win anyhow and what a better time to clear the air on the matter and give Rudy his chance in a regular season game. Miller is gonna run the offence anyhow, so what could it hurt. Ya never know what little thing might spark a player back into form and we NEED Rudy back to his old self!!! Thoughts????

    peace out,

Probably the most fun I've had at a game in a while! Seeing Rudy back to his rookie form was amazing; the drives to the basket, the incredible passes, & the 3 point stroke. Aldridge was doing what he was supposed to, dominating the inside. We saw the team run tonight and that is right up LA's alley. Love seeing Patty get major run. That will only help out his game. Bummer about Joel, Camby, and Batum. Hope their injuries are nothing to serious.

Hey Blazer fans...I am quoting my own post because looked what happened when Rudy got playing time!!! Was it a great night or what? Rudy got the spark tonight and I truly believe it was because he knew he would get minutes and a chance to prove himself. It was poetry on the floor tonight for him...and I really think Nate needs to think about things. As much as I love B Roy, I loved the up-tempo offence tonight and I LOVED the lobs to LA!!! It was ATTACK mode which the Blazers need. To heck with the slow down offence...we are young...and we need to drive other teams into the ground with our youth. I liked what I saw tonight. It might not have been perfect but it was a hell of alot better then that half court offence crap!!!! (excuse me) Push the ball, attack the basket...that is what winning basketball is all about!!!

    peace out,
    daddy

well daddy, with nicolas potentially out tomorrow night because of his shoulder, there is a mighty strong chance that rudy will get the start in his place. so we shall see if we can have a repeat! my hope is that we maintain a pretty large lead throughout the game so that babbitt can get some playing time, enough at least that we can see what hes got. a few games in the D league have hopefully done loads for his confidence. i wanna see that kid shoot the ball.

Wow, I've done that so many times before, and tomorrow it will feel even worse... well except all the technology available to them maybe not, but I would be done for at least two weeks.

If Aldridge doesn't have a good game today we have to remember he has come off two 40+ minute games. and one of them was last night.

Oh my amazing!!! As some of you know that was my first Blazer game ever and what an awesome one to go to!!! hahaha. Alridge and Rudy tore it up last night. LA tied his career high, rudy broke his career high. It was so fun to watch that fast paced game set by our bench. Much more exciting then the slow paced game we have gotten so used to seeing from portland. Oh man that was just so fun, the olny sad part is i'm not sure when i'll be ever able to go again :( But what a great night. Go Portland!!!

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
