RUMOR: Knicks Want Przybilla

     The Knicks have looked into the availability of Trail Blazers center Joel Przybilla, Alan Hahn of Newsday reports.

    "I've been told that the Knicks have looked into the availability of Joel Przybilla as the Trail Blazers appear ready to break up that injury-riddled team. The dream would be to land Marcus Camby for a decent price, but let's not get carried away," Hahn writes.

    Well, they have nothing of value for a player like Marcus Camby that they would realistically part with, so that's not happening. Joel's value is obviously less due to his injuries keeping him off of the court, but with them not having a 1st round pick for ages and no real young talent, I'm not sure they are the best trading partner.

    What is even more telling is the notion that the Blazers are looking to break up an injury riddled team. I guess only time will tell if that statement becomes true or not.

    As my nephew says,  so sorry for your luck . The Knicks can't have him. They have no big even close to Pryz, imo.

    This would be silly to do at this time. The Blazers front office has to know this is going to be a tough year and actually a good year to look at our young talent while Oden heals and we evaluate Roy. See, unlike others, I am willing to wait out Oden for one more year and give him a chance to play and see what he does. Have Camby and Joel to back him up is still ideal and you couldn't ask for better back ups (if all goes well!!! LOL) I still believe we are just in a funk right now and we will work out of it once the schedule eases up in January. Have faith Blazer Nation!!!!

    Tay...you are closing in on 1,000 posts, and this is the FIRST time I remember actually agreeing with you :)  I believe, that although both Dre and Joel are attractive expirings, they are both worth more to this team here than what either would bring in return...and for completely different reasons.  There isn't another player in the league like Joel.  I would challenge anyone reading this to give me a name of another old school enforcer still playing, that defends both the goal and his teammates like the Thrilla does.  His presence alone is worth his contract.  Dre has been the best and most consistent player since first given the opportunity.  Team MVP last season IMO.

    Let the Knicks WANT.  I WANT too.  I want to retire before I'm 80, but neither is likely to happen.

    yeah joel is just too valuable right now for us.
    And i think he will remain in that status untill we get word from odens knee.
