Thank you barely covers it for Marcus and Dre.  They play their tails off, and can teach so much to those paying attention.

Imo,  The team has no energy or chemistry.  Roy is not Roy. Nic is lost in translation.  Mills is not the pg of the future.

What would it hurt at this point to go back to the original starting lineup and have WM come off the bench, and take more of Roys minutes ? WM is the only offensive spark the team has.
Is not playing AJ because he's a rookie, worth Roy having to play minutes at pg ?

I don't care who starts. I care who wins, bring Roy off the bench if thats what it takes.

The only thing that has not changed is Nates stubbornness. On to Dallas.

It is frustrating... our bench can't produce anything and we play as slow (and sloppy today) as any team I've ever watched.  We need to make a trade at this point... or else we are destined for the 8th seed in the West and another first round exit.  Make a trade either to vastly improve the team, or start to unload our veterans to give the young guys (yes Kim, I'm a big Armon Johnson fan too!!!) some more playing time

    Fact..."Adjustment" is another word for.....Re-organize
Fact...Re-organization takes more than one season....

The team looks as frustrated as you feel,
Because they're playing stinkier then a dead eel.

COACH, watch the tape, all 5 Blazers standing around on offense in the 4th quarter.
You have got to get these players a gimmick. A weave, an aggresive handoff....SOMETHING, ANYTHING.
The city league "system" isn't working anymore Nate, because Brandon can't just power over everybody right now. The battle for the playoffs is going to be close, and we really needed this Memphis game. It's not that hard to see what's happening coach Nate. All the neat and fancy little curl routes that the offense runs, ends up rolling right into the opponents defense, especially late in games when the opposition tightens up the paint of their defensive end. That, and it was a bad idea to trade Bayless, clearly our best player off the bench, for a mid-high level draft pick next season.

Just something I wrote earlier about what I feel this team should do...

Roy hasn't been the factor between win or loss.  It's been LaMarcus or Dre or just lack of coaching and energy.  The main factor is horrible coaching and lack of energy.  Nate needs to go.  I'm starting to not give a damn about the Blazers this season and just root for the Heat or Spurs.  They're my next two favorite teams this year, and they actually have decent chances.  The Blazers are without Oden again, and our roster is going to be looking very different next season.  If we lose Oden, I'll probably just say screw it completely.  Oden is our key.  We should trade for Andre Iggy.  I'm sick of Batum's inconsistency.  He has about 3 nice games and then a stream of 9 god awful games.  Trade Batum and Rudy for Iggy.  Build around Iggy and have Roy be the 3rd option behind either Mathews or LaMarcus.  Or just build around Wesley Mathews.  Yes, I said it, build around WM.  The guys been playing consistently scoring roughly 20 points a game being the 3rd option.  The only bad game he had as a starter was against Washington.  And he plays better defense than Roy.

Blazers can rebuild while remaining a playoff team, but we need a new coach.  Anyone with a decent IQ could tell that Roy should no longer be the go-to guy.  And energy always starts with the coach.

If we had Iggy,Oden, LMA, and WM on our team, that could influence a guy like Chris Paul to join the Blazers, one of the few teams he added to his list in which he would actually consider going to.

Honestly the teams chemistry is out of whack! either roy, aldridge or somebody else on the team doesnt show up. they all need to come to play and someone never does. if the blazers lose more games to teams like the grizzlies then they will have to rebuild. and the team will be a losing one which sucks. so the team needs to get their sh!t together and start winning ball games like they should be! they have the talent its just the chemistry is gone. Nope.  More because I'm a fan of basketball and the Blazers aren't playing quality basketball.  Big difference between being one under .500 and playing the game.  Every loss this season, which happens more than wins, has been a pathetic display from the Blazers.

we just need someone besides andre and wesley to score inside.  the biggest problem ive noticed is that almost everything is coming from outside for us.  We really need to make a trade for a center who can score inside so that he can bring the defense inside which will open up the scoring from the outside.  Right now everyone knows that we will be scoring mostly from the outside, so they can basically focus most of their d on the perimeter which meens that is is extremely hard for us to score at all unless we can get someone involved inside.  Pretty much aldridge needs to be aggresive and learn how to post up inside or we need to make a trade for a center who can score inside.  Also I think we need to trade for a younger, quicker starting pg and a solid backup pg but a good big man is our most dire need right now.

also im really starting to agree with the people who think we should fire nate.  The team just does not play well offensively under nate, we don't move at all off the ball and we never score inside.  The scoring inside part might be more the players fault than nates but he really needs to get it in the players heads that they need to move when they are off the ball and he has not done that yet.  ive noticed that we havent really ever moved well off the ball while nate has been our coach and also most of our plays have been one on one type plays.  that was ok when branon was healthy since he could make stuff happen even when the rest of the team was standing around, but now we dont have someone who can do that so we are playing horribly offensively.  Nate either needs to durasticaly change his offensive coaching style or we need to get a new coach.

I agree that Dre isn't our future pg however he's been great for us this season. Marcus is Marcus. Inconsistent but always better than average. He'll never be great he's ok with not being THE GUY. Just not assertive enough. But a great second option. Brandon is down one day great the next. No consistence from Nic. He's a great bench player though lol :(
Camby has been the glue for our D and Wes has been exceptional.
The problem lies with the obvious. We have no inside game. It's all jump shots and without a consistent offensive force ala James,Kobe, etc were not going to win many games like that.
As far as Coach is concerned. His frustration mirrors our own. Plain and simple. Nothing wrong with him!
    Just my two cents.

QUOTABLE II: "I tweaked my left knee early in the game, and it was a little sore going on from there. I didn't really have the same lift, but I should be good for tomorrow (at Memphis)." -- Brandon Roy

Why does Roy still have the ball in his hands at the end of games? Hasn't Nate figured out that Roy isn't the guy to trust. In the last game Roy just looked horrible. He is broken down and  everyone can see it!!!!!! why can't Nate ????? why is he playing him for 30+ min. a game when he is shooting 3/17? We scored 9 points in the 4th against Meph.

he didn't have the same lift and yet Nate let him play 30+ This is a sure sign of a bad coach, when the coach can't see what's happening, because he is too close to the action and lacks outside perspective. We all see Roy can't do it anymore, the announcers can surely see it, and the rest of the league can- why can't Nate?

too much dependance on the outside shot is killing us- we need to mix it up and drive to the basket sometimes and not wait until late in the shot clock... missing bayless these days,.....

kinda with what RedReudy5 said. No one besides Wesley is consitently hitting the outside shot. Nate needs to change his game plan because his game plan is hit the outside shot and nothing else. He plays the game so slow that everyone stands around making weak screens and weak cuts that the shot clock runs down every time down the court and we have to throw up an outside shot. The team needs to run! RUN RUN RUN!!! Let those young guys do it. They have so much energy. Wesley, Mills, Rudy, Johnson, Batum can run forever. I've noticed some of our best games are when those young guys are running. Andre and Roy refuse to run, that's there game, but guess what, Roy at the moment doesn't have much game, so until he figures out how to "adjust" then I say let the yound guys run and tire out the other team. Making insides shot, and getting some momentum will make the outside shot come. Nate needs to make a change, he keeps doing the same thing expecting different results... Not gonna happen.

one think : I really like Roy and admire his attitude to this situation I mean his knees injuries with loosing quickness  he struggle much, with poor opponents he can shoot 20 points but with good defence he can do nothing . He make 4-16 and 3-16 last 2 matches and played more than 30 min. I am asking why ?

Patty played 4 min, AJ near 2min , Rudy about 15 why ? Starting 5 made good performance in phoenix but next matches they played without any idea or passion !!! they really look frustrated ! Why ?

Nate doesn't see what is happening ? Why bench players are playing so short time ?

I see whole match in San Antonio and was frustrated and feel awful with dominating  Spurs , We can do nothing from start to the and only WM and sometimes LA played at enough level ? it was really dissapointed

no passion , no defence , no idea how to play the ball apart passing to Roy who misses shots very often.

What could bring some new energy to the team ? What do You think , trade ? , big rotation during match or ?

    GO BLAZERS !!!

    hahaha nice....

Herr, if we Had a Healthy Oden, and Iggy, we wouldnt need a player like Chris paul because we would be gettin the job done.....heck if we had a healthy oden i doubt we'd even need Iggy....
Oden to come back would bring out so much in the other guys, like a resurrection......

But kim the biggest thing you said was this team has no chemistry, everyone seems to be playing as individuals and not as teammates, similar to how the clippers are running this year.
They got Del Negro, a dope coach, they have some pretty good players, not to mention their Ace in the Hole Rookies they have been working with, but they still cant win games.....
They dont have any comradery, you look at the Celtics and how those guys are actually playing for each other....They have been through alot together...
Its easy to bring in some guy from utah and force him into the lineup causing problems for other players and say "okay, lets try this." But what about the repercussions it has on the other players? Like Rudy, granted he did throw his fit and everything else this summer, but he isnt treated like he "used to be a player here".
But the Clippers are still pulling off some W's. or at least putting up good fights, and i think thats the best we can ask for from our guys this season, because it becomes more clear each day that IT IS NOT our year....

Brandon Roy says he doesn't want to play along side Miller, then send him to the bench.  Nate said he needs bench scoring.
Roy will provide leadership, you can control his minutes and he could still win 6th man of the year.
Matthews in the man when he starts, Batum needs to be back where he belongs too.
    It's a win-win people!!

TayC, good point, but I don't think Oden will come out and instantly explode.  Having someone like Iggy will help a lot.  I'd love CP3 since he can feed Oden and Aldridge (he makes a fool like David West look good), and that'd just give everyone more reasons to love Portland!

I really really hope Cho isn't the type of idiot that would let someone like Oden slide.

hahaha, why dont you like david west, he is totally a great PF and is similar to aldridge is game...
But i feel you, but take out CP3 in you equation and fit in Armon or Mills, give then the rest of this year, next year they will both be better they are just establishing themselves right now.

Iggy is kinda the same deal, like Cp3, wheather your armon or mills, they will never be as good as him, but When it comes to Batum and Iggy, and that positionm Batum has more potential in this game than iggy has gas left in his tank.
I want Batum to break free from the ball and chain nates got him in, or whatever the case may be, because we all have seen this guy break out in waves, of intense play.
He can get up he can throw down, 3ball, you know what i mean? he is  solid  in a lot of areas of the game, with some one on one guidance from someone who used to play in that position or one similar to it, it could really turn out nicley.
Like how Howard got taught by Hakeem over the summer.

correct me if im wrong, but we traded bayless because we believed that armon johnson (aka a rookie) could take his spot with relative ease on a 50 win team, does this not make sense to anyone else? i dont dislike armon johnson i dislike the ridiculousness that is the expectations of him. he had a good summer league and then we thought he would be good in the nba game....does this sound familiar......bayless averages 30+ ppg in summer league. trading bayless was the single stupidest trade i have seen in years. and im not even mentioning trading martell webster, who is another legitimate scoring threat off the bench. (when i heard minnesota was mad cuz they thought we knew he was injured, i thought "give him back PLEASE"). the bayless trade was rich cho's first move i believe, and jesus did he mess up. we spend all these years slowly building these guys up from the ground and then trade them away for draft picks, even if we get good players with the picks we are going to have to build them up from the ground again and the cycle of stupid decisions happens again. i dont have much to look forward to in blazerland anymore except impeding mediocrity. 40 wins this year, miss playoffs unless something is done quick, maybe a batum and andre for devin harris trade. i dont know.

Sadly, the wheels are coming off. Nate still has coaching fundamentals problems: in the Orlando game he stopped the clock to call a play with 6.5 secs left in the quarter & gave a way a semi-quick break advantage-In San Antonio-he set-up a play, but never set-up a pick and so we couldn't successfully in bound the ball & lost it. Oden was a sad disaster. But, we do have an awesome owner who really wants to win & gives us a show.
It's amazing to see how the lakers Got Odum & Gasol for a song, & nothing falls in our laps.
It's time to rebuild. Do Camby & Miller a favor, & trade them to a contender (Miami or someone who can beat the Lakers) in reward for their hard work before it's to late for them to compete . Keep Aldridge, Matthews, & Batum. Hire MJ & Pippin to tutor Nicholas.
Find a a way to reward Brandon, & get rid of the salary cap problem he causes. Get a young energetic bench like Bayless, Outlaw,& Webster.
Learn to think out of the box-like the Jordan Bulls(no great center)& the present Lakers (no point guard to speak of). If you get a point guard, get one at least as tall as John Stockton to see over the defense.
Above all be patient-it took years for the Drexler team to gel-enjoy watching players develop. Real fans should never leave a game early, because the team is loosing-we should enjoy every  moment players get time & learn.
