Will somebody please tell Travis to play as if the games are regular season games and not playoff ones? We need Travis to contribute for the Blazers to win this series against the Rockets. But it seems the pressure of the playoffs is on his mind, that is why he has not played his usual game in the first three games. If he can get back his regular season game, the Blazers will easily win this series. The Rockets are concentrating their defense on Brandon and LaMarcus. Joel and Steve are doing their job. Rudy and Greg are also doing well and continue to improve. Hopefully Nic Batum will be more aggressive on offense and Sergio gets some playing time from the coaches(at least to rest some starters, and Sergio can also make some plays).

It's a difficult task, trying to shoot over Yao Ming. After all, Yao's only 7' 6".

Outlaw has pissed me off so much this series. He has open shots that he has been hitting all season long and he isnt shooting them. Intead he turns the ball over. Somebody said before the playoffs started that Travis Outlaw is the exact type of player that would disappoint us in the playoffs... and they were right on the money. Outlaw is just a dumbass, I think he has the IQ of a chimpanzee. I bet his brain is the size of a peanut in that aukward shaped head of his... Im really disappointed with him right now.

look, despite what outlaw has done during the regular season, no matter how much his defense has hindered the blazers in the regular season, the fact is that he stepped up this game. the only problem was that he needs to look at the god damn basket before he shoots. he isn't lamarcus, he isn't broy, he isn't RUUUUDDYYYY. he's travis outlaw, and he needs to realize that. i think he played much better, and much tighter defense against the rockets in game 4, he had a couple great shots, some actually went in, but he just needs to learn that he isn't a superstar and he shouldn't act like one.

It's ridiculus in how Travis chokes when it really counts but his teammates and coach should expect it. They should know by now he does not perform well under pressure. He is young and understandable but if it's going to be like that then they need to depend on our other guys that can actually hit there shots. They keep giving him shots and giving him that opportunity instead of giving it to someone better. That three pointer that we needed was givin to Travis and he blew it the ball should have been givin to Rudy Fernandez that keeps on proving he can handle the responsiblity and pressure of the playoffs. He treats it like any other game. This isn't just about Travis stepping it up Albridge, Oden, and Blake need to step it up they keep making little mistakes that keep costing there chance in the playoffs. The boys need to stop choking and play harder than they have been.

What prompts Outlaw to take a quick three pointer contested, with 8 seconds left on the clock. Why? I don't understand. Give it to Rudy or Roy for that.

I think he is just trying to establish himself as a reliable small forward for the Blazers, but doesn't realize that kind of recognition doesn't just come overnight. I think he tried to hit that one shot that he'll be remembered for the rest of this season, and maybe even next post-season. I really don't blame him, but it's true, he needs to cough up the rock to someone more capable of knocking down a contested 3-pointer.

I posted before the playoffs and said despite everyting some players would show there true colors in the playoffs. Outlaw is prime example. Oden has actually impresssed me not with his numbers but if you actually watch the game you see the effect. I only hope that some fans come to realize changes need to be made all the see how it goes fans stop being so boxed in on there ideas. I hate hearing look how much we improved well our team has gotten better talent wise every year for the past couple years so naturally we do better. I know that time will makes us a little better but I still think we lack a few pieces.

You know what, I'm listening to all this and all I can think about is next year and Martel Webster. Martel freaking Webster. The difference maker, the X-Factor, this whole conversation would be different. Martel is here and we are probably 3-1, atleast 2-2, instead of 1-3. With as close as these last 3 have been we probably win all 3. Now I like Travis as a person and during the regular season he adds a whole nother dimension to this team. He is, however, letting the pressure of the playoffs get to him and I don't think it gets any better from here. The problem is that Travis has talent out of the roof, but what he lacks is that predatory instinct that allows him to focus better when his back is against the wall. Instead, the pressure comes and he gets rattled. He is learning, that is why he was more successful this year than last. The Playoffs are an unfamiliar beast to him and he's losing the fight. Nate won't let him quit. He may lose this year, but Nate will have him ready for the fight mentally by the time next year rolls around. By then we will have such a stacked roster there will be PT conroversies even on this team of good guys. I'm not saying the series is over, because it's not. They still have chance, if they get on the same page. I'm just saying, I'm okay if it were. I'm okay with that because of what we have to look forward to.

i gotta agree. We actually talked about putting plexi glass in front of the tv to throw stuff at it when outlaw comes in. That three will probably be talked about for years, and just his lack of basketball IQ at times brings me back to when we had a certain mr. jack, who drove me nuts. Webster comes back, trade outlaw for something, hell even a water cooler. I get frustrated watching him miss wide open shots, and then last night, he pretty much passed the ball to the rockets. Now i would love nothing more then for travis to step up, work hard and become a better player, but its been how many years? ALthough, i think he would be better as a backup PF, because he's pretty much money at 10-15ft, and he can drive, and he leaps like a frog, but i still think he could rebound a whole lot better than he is. But i'd feel better with him taking turn around j's then popping 3's with 8 seconds left.
