portland is 12-12 and 1-1 on the current road trip, with a matchup at memphis (for the second time this season) dec. 13.

what do you think we have to do in order to beat the grizzlies? will the difference be shooting percentage? swarming defense? limiting turnovers? a combination of those and other things? who will step up? will it be Wesley? Brandon? LaMarcus? Andre? what is the over/under for Marcus on the boards?

    any thoughts?

Definitely a winnable game, but in my opinion, it all rides on the bench. If they don't produce, the starters will have to continue to log large minutes and could bog down late in games.

I think this definitely needs to be a bounce back game.  Yes we lost yesterday, to a very good San Antonio team.  If our shooting % had been better it would have been a much closer game.  But do you credit SAs defense for making us take bad shots?  Just plain bad luck with the rim?  Or were our players not making smart choices with the ball?  Or our they tired, based on the crazy schedule and starters having to play more minutes?
I hope that we can rise to the challenge (are the grizzlies a challenge at any other point in the season against any other team, I don't know that they should be but they are in my opinion) and get some much need points from the bench.  Would love to see Rudy or Patty get hot from the 3.  Would love to see Brandon return to form and drive to the hoop.  Love seeing Joel and Camby and Batum (phx games) getting us some much needed rebounds.
And P.S. Make Your Free Throws Guys!  The differential of ft attempts yesterday was staggering and the few that we had we didn't make, not good.  Get fouls and make your free throws!

Just hope we win..I bet it is hard to determine if you'll have the players you start out with tho..ROY/knee AND who can make their shots.  STILL.....GO BLAZERS.

Bench needs to be more productive. Specifically, Batum needs to get it done!

Early foul trouble.. not a great sign.

If we continue to get some offensive boards and make good on them, we should keep it close. Brandon really needs to find his game. Wesley should have another night of around 19 points. Keep the turnovers down, and as always keep our shooting % above 47.

well, apparently you have to make more than four shots in the entire fourth quarter ... and play some defense. that was our worst 4th quarter of the season.

This blows!! Brandon's knee is worse than they are telling us....I've seen him in pain in every home game this's a serious issue...Brandon is a professional athlete that doesn't want to give up...I get it. But he's just not ever going to be the same and Portland needs to sit him down with a box of kleenex and talk seriously about what the team needs to do! And it starts by being honest! "hence the box of kleenex" <---for Roy and Me!

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
