I guess I could have put this in the "Hornets watch" thread, but thought this merited it's own.

    From ESPN: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5887687

Chris Paul and the rest of the New Orleans Hornets will soon be playing for the first franchise in league history owned by the NBA.

Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com on Sunday that the league's fast-moving plans to take temporary control of the Hornets are going ahead "100 percent" and will be publicly confirmed within the next few days, mirroring what Major League Baseball did with the Montreal Expos before that franchise was sold and moved to the nation's capital as theWashington Nationals.

The next paragraph talks about this putting Paul's future in a new light of course. Any thoughts?

All this means is that there will be another team that gets every single call go it's way

You should put this as the top 10 major markets available or willing to buy a basketball team.  L.A. doesn't need another team, so count them out, but I wouldn't count Stern out for wanting New York to top that list for a second team in new york city, or maybe even try and go international with this one... My list would probably have Seattle at the top..

good find. Frankly, I'd be surprised if they end up staying in New Orleans. Even during the 11-1 start or whatever it was, they couldn't draw the fans out to the area.

Good move for stability.  I'm of the opinion that the Hornets are not long for New Orleans.  They will be either moved to Kansa City (leading candidate IMO) or contracted.

Not sure about Saric. We already have Claver and Papanikolaou (over in Greece who could come over) and they both can play the 3/4 position behind Batum.
