So we're currently 3 games under 500. I can't lie, not even I could have predicted this at the start of the season.  I would have told you you were crazy if you said the Blazers would be at three games below the average mark in early December.  With that being said, I want to hear your guys' thoughts on why this has happened the last several games. But to make it more interesting, keep it to one sentence...

Mine: Our scoring disappears in the fourth quarter

Roy cannot be the go to guy every game since he is clearly hurting, the team cannot rely on the jumper every game, and Nate is a bad offensive coach.

check the boxscore... i been trying to explain its not the 4th quarter in the last 2 games.. we have got killed in the 3rd in boston and washington and then played catchup in the 4th. people need to stop thinking its the 4th. our problem period is we are not playing the full 48 min

Why are you disagreeing with Kerry? You asked to hear our thoughts. I think he is right, we are not playing the full 48. Some games it's the third, others the fourth. You seem to be complaining too much about the fourth quarter. I thought you were tired of people complaining and here you are starting a thread to complain about our fourth quarters and being under .500.

I also find it amusing you only ask for one sentence so you don't have to read as much.

    Really?
Were you hoping on the Oden Fairy to come by as well as some of the others?

They came into this season with a Swiss cheese teams, and now they are about to be thrown to the rats.

The blazers need to play with the same energy the whole game as they do in the last minute of the fourth quarter when they're down by six.

I hope this keeps up, seriously. This sounds negative, but think about it, If portland takes a nose dive they can possible get into the lottery picks. portland should hunt down a top 5 pick and draft new talent. It would be nice to Draft either Harrison barnes, Perry Jones, Kyrie Irving, Terrence Jones, or Brandon Knight. These guys can do damage in the NBA. Unlike Luke Babbit (waste of a 1st round pick)

you guys might say, "oh give portland time, they will pull it together.." sure they can. I think they can still pull 40+ wins this season, but they won't go anywhere with the players they have. Like Jason quick said best, The roy,LA,Oden era is over. They gave us hope at the beginning, they gave us wins, and it was fun to watch them play. Our hopes rode on these 3 to get us a championship. obviously Roy and Oden don't have the "Knees" to carry the team. An LA, continues to show that he can get locked down with good Defensive teams. Roy's knee limits him from being a Great player to being a Good player and championship a team needs a great player to lead them. It's time to move on, and rich cho needs to look ahead and make a new plan.

We need new guys to build around. Imagine roy coming off the bench, he'd easily would be portland's 6th man, someone who can come in and do damage.

Sorry if you guys think I'm crazy or stupid, but its reasonable. Better than stick with this same lineup that can get to the 1st round of playoffs.

It doesn't sound negative but tanking the season in order to hope to get a franchise player is really hoping for something extremely rare. I think we need to start with some trades and go from there. Everyone seems to know for sure, but we don't really know that Brandon is never going to be the same again. He may be, but it is still too early to tell.

    That TV series is awesome.

As for the question, I think we've seen some answers.  Here are mine...

FIRE NATE - Honestly, why is he still here?  The same problems occur every year.  He doesn't know when to play certain players, and has pulled the wrong players costing us games late in the 4th, even before the "drought".  He also never plays rookies that never get the opportunity to live up to their potential.  Patty Mills was given real minutes, and while he was in, was able to dish out some nice assists.  It was the first time we got to see him where he wasn't just trying to score in trash time.  We traded Webster for Babbitt.  Martell was one of our saviors last season. Babbitt sits on the bench.  He's also a horrible play maker thus horrible offensive coach.  The Blazers need a better offensive coach.

Trade Rudy - The Rudy of 2009 is gone.  He quit on us already.  Now he just looks for desperation 3 pointers to please himself.  He offers 1, sometimes 2 three pointers a game and that's about it.  Trade Rudy, get a better offensive and driving point guard.  Heck, might as well listen to offers for Batum.  Wesley Mathews has already proven he's way better than Batum at this point.

Bring Energy - teams perform at their best when they're energetic.  In our 6 loses, the other team has been the ones bring their energy.  We look flat, and like zombies :P while we're getting ran over by the worst teams in the league.  We have an easy schedule right now, going against the worse teams, and we're in a 6 game losing streak?  I'd have called you a hater if you told me we'd lose even 4 games in a row.
