How many games did the Nets lose 'till their coach got released last year?

Stick with Nate, the Blazers will snap this losing streak and play better basketball. They just have to get that flavor of winning back. Need more communication on the court. Blazers are best when they're vocally helping each other on both ends of the court. We need good screens and better floor spacing on the offensive end.

Early in the season, lotta basketball left, a few wins here and there will put us back in the playoff hunt.

Your Boy Nate once again took out the only guy who consistently produces late in every game (Andre Miller) for what ever reasons. I'm really growing tired of his antics. It is a major recipe for unbalanced harmony and poor chemistry. I think Nate needs to go sooner than later.

What's the point? Even if we sneak into the playoffs, its going to be a very quick exit. Is this what the standard should be for the franchise - one and done?

I'm just not sold on Nate. It's the same story over and over. He's a great assistant coach, but shouldn't be in charge of the whole show.  The offense is downright awful to watch and it's not getting any better. It seems like he's lost the team.

Again, let's just have one crappy season, tank the heck out of it, and find ourselves a new franchise player in the draft. This draft is stacked and I'd much rather take my chances in the draft lotto than against the Lakers in the first round. Being stuck in mediocrity is the worst in sports. Right now our foundation is broke, time to rebuild. Its tough, but we've been through worse.

oh the Nets, the team we beat like 6 times in a row and then they ran all over us like a shag carpet rug during the 70's

Clydefrog, I disagreed with your suggestions in the past, about the future for this team, but now I'm coming around to see your point. There is no way we can not drastically change something on this team, since something has drastically changed with this team. We are the same team player wise (except WM) that we were last year, but we look worse and are playing worse and our record is worse.

There is no excuse for Nate, This team should have been getting better this year, and he should have been the one to lead. This is unacceptable for this team to not address in a drastic way. We need a smarter coach, not one who seems to have no clue on how to call the right offensive schemes at the right time.

Nate is a one trick pony. He just doesn't seem to realize he is a coach geared for a team that he doesn't have. He fights against a run and gun offense because he wants a slow half court game, problem is we look horrible in the half court this season and we look way better when we play faster. He just can't see that his players are tired of standing around watching a washed up Roy dribble out the clock only to take a pull up contested jumper. Fire him now!

Another awful game with poor second half, I don't know what to say,  I don't understand why in second half the team looks so weak ? is it tired or what ???

but I agree with Tobyus Sanchezo : don't fire Nate. I am waiting for next game if we can win maybe it will be start of wining streak ? I don't even think that we lose the game with clippers

Joel come back and I am surprise that he looks so good !

    GO BLAZERS !!!

Nate cant score or play defense. No one is perfect. Adjustments take time. They will work it out.
Agree Joel looks great. Can't wait for Sunday. Bring on the Clips !

How many games now has the ball been in Brandons hands and he's turned it over MULTIPLE times in crucial moments at the top of the 3pt line that have cost us the game? That is Nates fault for continuing to go through Brandon when he is obviously not the same right now. At least post him up or something, and let Dre run the offense!

In Order to Fire nate, you gotta find someone who wants to run this rag tag team.......
And with a cornacopia of Knee injuries, a plethura of angery fans, and an abundance of inexperiance on the bench, there is really no incentive....

I mean the coach can say all he wants, you can run plays all week, but what alot of you guys are misunderstanding , i feel, is that come game time, it is BROY with the ball, not the plays the coach laid out nor the coach himself.

If roy feels like shooting from deep, he will, heck if he wanted to shoot it the other dam way he could, its totally up to him.
Whether his judgement has gone to @#$% or he has lost the motivation to win, there is definatly a problem.

But ask yourself this question, whats worse, a coach who cant get through to his players?
Or players, who have no idea to create/setup/and run their own offense?

If anything they could be playing like it was a pickup game, in pickup games with random people, even then you still see guys settin screens, dudes are movin.
Perhaps taking the guys down to the Local Y might boost our offensive production.
The fact that these guys cant pull something outta their butts and piece it together for a play out on the court is embaressing.
The term so many of you like to use, yet it has no solid defintion, basket ball i.q.? is it?
    Yeah this team has none.

But god forbid anyone ask basketball i.q. is, because that means you dont ...have...an...y...? wtf?
    hahah

I keep hearing good reasons, and my own reasons, of why we should fire Nate.  No good reasons why we shouldn't except finding a NEW coach to replace him.  Start searching for the new coach, and fire Nate.  I've said it in like 3 other threads of why he should go, not going to type it again here.

I think that to start playing well we just need someone who can score inside.  Either aldridge needs to learn how to play better inside or we need to make a trade.  If you look at all of the best teams in the league they have a good balance of inside and outside scoring and right now the blazers are only shooting jumpers.  We have like 25 million dollars in expiring contracts right now so its time we actually make something happen with it and make a trade for a big.

also though right now I think it is more the players fault than it is nates.  Other than andre nobody is looking to score inside and even our outside shooters have been playing terribly off the ball.  Andre and wesley cant do it alone.

C-Frog i totally agree , it just seems like nate isn't cutting it our offense actually looks worse than most of the lower performing teams , especially in our "fourth quarter slump" it just seems like nate doesnt even try to get our guys to get it together in the final minutes , for example if the blazers are losing by 2 they will be ice cold from the paint and behind the arc , nates "isolation play love-fest" needs to go sooner or later before the franchise falls apart

Nate is good a taking young palyers and molding them in to a team, but he is not good at winning, especially when it comes to the playoffs. It is time for him to change his tune and coach soem offense rather than all defense, or for the blazers to end this broken record and show him the door and give the keys to someone else. Honestly, I think he is going to leave after this season. I feel that was his reason for not taking the extention and has been his intention this whole time. He probably realized that if the blazers don't improve over last years reacord and make it to the second round than he is done anyway. His bags are packed.

Sanders is a good fit, like to run, Pretty much the same offensive game as JJ, except JJ is a little better around the rim and has that close-mid range game. I think Henson is decent too. I didn''t get to see a lot of his game, as he didn''t play ...
