Apparently Roy can still score one on one he hasnt lost that but he has lost he ability to break down the defense from the perimeter, attack/split double teams, and get And-1's on drives.

He needs to get the ball at the left elbow and goto work shooter in the left corner, behind three pt line dead in the middle, and a cutter that cuts once Roy surveys and makes either a pass or as he puts the ball on the floor from the opposite side.

LA dissipates in the 4th because i've heard him say that he used to not get picked up during open gyms because ppl thought he was frail blah blah blah and that made him work harder to get better.  Thats cool but that tells me he cant be a goto scorer in the 4th. He doesn't have the innate confidence in himself to be able to take over a game late.

We need to put Armon Johnson/Luke Babbit ,Brandon Roy/LA depending on matchups insert either Matthews/Batum/ or Joel/Camby.

Roy loves the left elbow and left side of court due to the fact a right handed person gathers the ball with the left hand and shoots with the right.

So pick and Roll/Pop left side of Court with Roy/LA and the same thing with Armon/Luke on the right side of the court

With Matthews spacing, cutting, setting picks and helping move ball from left to right

I really dont know but i thought maybe we can think of a good plan for our blazers in the 4th quarter because Nate is having to say the least difficulties getting production out of these guys in the fourth

I ain't gettin' paid millions to coach. All I know is somebody keeps putting an invisible 2x4 on the rim and the Blazers can't hit a basket. They're shooting very badly from long range, I'd say step in and shoot the 19 footer.

alright lets start with movement, and flashing to the lane, and AND1's, and passing.....there is always the alternative which Nate told me had great success, the iso.........

@charmcitybla - You are on to something with the suggestions for the 4th. I like the Armon/babbitt on the right and lA/ Roy on the left and WM cutting and slashing - very good idea, I think maybe Miller and babbitt though and not Armon. But what About rebounding? would you just go offense defense based on the possession and score?

The team has gone to #7 so much in the 4th quarter over the last 3 years, along with adding WM and AJ (rookie), and just getting Pryz back, it's going to take a few games to work it out.
It has taken longer than I expected,(imo, with now throwing Mills in ),  but I still believe Nate is the right coach, and we will see the team we know we have. Were only a quarter in to the season.

    Welcome home team !

    Go Blazers !!!!!

I only put armon/luke due to chemistry they have known each other since elementary school i dont think you draft both of them without implementing them at the same time.  They thrive off each other and have confidence in each other.  Same way with Roy and Aldridge Roy knows how to timely get it to LA when hes open off the pick.  As far as defense we need to make a trade to get a backup c or pf that is a good one-on-one defender in the post, can help Camby get some defensive boards, and rotate and block shots.  We really need a Daniel Gibson type player at the point guard position. If we are gonna spoon feed LA in the post we need a stable of shooters that all can hit threes having miller/armon out there doesnt help and we need LA to have all options when working out of the post.  Luke can come off screens i dont know why we arent using him like kyle korver has anyone seen him shoot he needs a chance to see the ball go into the hoop i mean i gotta trade idea that could really help us out imma post it soon

Dont think they trade him for JJ tho, they can just sign Hickson.

I watched Shabazz at the combine and he was a poor shooter.  In fact he did  so bad he did not even show up for drills in day two.  He may be a scorer not a shooter.  If he throws up enough shots he scores.  If someone looks a...

Exactly why trading him before he bails might be the best plan

I would agree LMA is a decent defender but his help defense and team defense needs a lot of work. It is in these areas that Bosh really separates himself from LMA and it is because of that he is a better player than LMA despite not putting the sam...

I was looking at some shooting stats and came across a very very alarming stat. LMA was the league leader in FGA from 16-23 feet. Not only was he the leader he was lead by a mile. His 7.3 attempts from this distance easily outpaced Demar Derozan w...

Sug I would start with him outscoring Wesley Matthews. He also needs to get his FTA up and his FG% up and cut down the turnovers.

His defense was decent last year but not that good as he is either too weak or just unwil...
