Why we lose... Just a Thought.

    I have noticed that whenever Roy plays as our PG and controls the game for us we start well and then we start making bad decisions and overall avoidable mistakes, which cost us games. We tend to get some good shots or plays right off the bat, but when teams start to adjust to Roy's play we become a slower team, and struggle to find good/open shots. 

    I am not trying to say Roy is a bad player or anything, he is great, even with his knees. But he just, I don't even know.

    What are your guy's opinions? Why do think we lose, besides injury and those lame, overused excuses?
    I am a fan of Not only beating LA ("beat LA!") but all the other teams in the league!!!

    Sad but true. When Roy has the ball the team just seems to stand around and do nothing but watch. When Miller is running the point, the team seems to move more freely and they get better shots. It's just a matter of them hitting open shots more consistently.

    We lose not just because of one thing, but multiple things. The problem is the Blazers keep making the same mistakes over and over again and not correcting them. It is NOT because of Roy. Roy comes back last night and puts in 27. What went wrong was we had no rebounding, we give up the three too easy on defence, we settle for jump shots instead of trying to get LA posted up and this year our passing (turnovers) has been awful. If we can just fix any one of those things, we win games. I think we will see a different result come the all star break. Give the team time to gel and get healthy...also give the team a time to heal from all that has happened lately. After all they are human ya know!

    Brandon Roy is a shooting guard, not a point guard. Andre Miller is a great point guard and he should be leading the team in the fourth quarter, or at least splitting possessions with Brandon Roy.

    I don't agree , it is no problem with ROY.

    Like in football the main think is defence, notice that  in most our wins rivals scored under 90.

    this is the key when You are good in defence and rebounding You have a lot chances to score , of course You can lose even if You are good in defence because other team score for example 3 point in last shot last second, but in 82 matches You have to lose sometimes.

    once again DE FENCE !!! 

    We have to win 3 in a row and everyfan will be happy  again

    GO BLAZERS !!!

    Roy has gone from being the cornerstone, and face of the franchise, to just being a complimentary piece.  That is a HUGE adjustment, not only for Roy, but for the rest of the team as well...front office and fans included.  Identity has been lost.  We are now in a period of unexpected transition, suffering from the growing pains that are often symptomatic of such times.  Patience and continuing support will be key.

    Getting outrebounded by 21 is what cost us the game against NO.  Przybilla when he does return will definitely help!

    We lose because when Roy is given the ball we typically r down and he needs to iso to takeover the game and when you iso u r mainly thinking of yourself so u com out with good shots, forced shots, or a pass late in the shot clocked leading to a rushed shot.  And we lose sometime because wen others have the ball Roy doesnt move and when roy has it they dont move and when LA has it nobody moves.  If we used their isos and when hard to the class or ran plays off of plays for Roy and Aldrige similar to how Michigan State runs their offense it would be beneficial.  Roy is getting better at passing tho i have noticed this he will become a deadly passer in due time

    I think that when it comes to good teams, it doesnt nor should it matter who is running the point, their should always be someone creating offense for others if not themselves, movement is always key.
    And roy has been known to do his fair share of standing around without the ball.......


    And watching the Spartans is like watching a team who enjoys having the least amount of time possible to shoot,  its frustrating and would not work in the NBA, at least thats how i see it.
    Izzo is a good coach, and they are doing well, but, thats not offense.
