Long layoff before next game/rest or rust?

    Am I the only one who thinks list extra time off will hurt the Blazers rhythm of fluidity? Withe the Hornets coming in on Friday, if the Blazers start off sluggish (which they have a tendency to do) then they may be in a world of hurt. New Orleans seems primed to be contenders the way they were a few years ago when they made it to the Western Conference finals. With CP3 leading the way, who knows how far they'll go at this rate. Yeah it's still early, but these games can have an impact down the road during the playoff push at the end of the season. Add to the mix is the return of former assistant now head coach Monty Williams. You know he'll be ready to have the team prepared. So look out Blazers; you better be ready. I know the thought of having Pryzbilla back is going to be a welcome sight, but he'll be monitored closely by the coaching staff and who's to say how BRoy's knee will hold up? So there's a lot of concern in Blazerland

    We needed this rest after brutal schedule we had. Its a plus to us plus NOH lost to Clips today. Our team can come out healthier, rested and stronger. Plus pryz is in so they doing some work how to put him into rotation so this week will do it.

    I foresee another big night for Matthews, LA, and Miller. I am going with 103-93 Blazers WIN!!!!

    Joel will be rusty more than likely get limited minutes to work him in. It will be a big shot in the arm to see him out there fighting for the start position. I bet Camby will be happy he is back. Brandon should be back and he might be a little rusty to start the game but he should work in as it progresses. Rust or rested this is our team for the rest of the season. I look forward to the match-up and I think the rest of the NBA will be watching too to see how we play. The media may not give us the time of day but the rest of the league will watch to see what respect they will give us.

    usually, i'd say it's a couple days too many, but with the schedule the way it's been, it's probably going to do more help than good. great question though.

    uri has a good point about the team being able to figure out the best rotation in which to use Joel. in that sense, i'm glad to have the extra days so we can bring back Joel the correct way.

    I know we need the time to get healthy, but I think 5 days is a couple too many like Kassandra said.

    I agree about the layoff, but what does that actually mean in the face of pride. N.O., put it on us in our last meeting. Brandon went out and we were down i believe 12, and we lose by 20, i think. Theitr x-factor is going to be Jarrett Jack, ours will be Defense. Man up Blazers, it's time.

    i am with kassandra that normally five days is too much but not this time.  we have had a very very crazy tough schedule and need time for guys to get healthy rest up and prepare and fix the problems of not finishing a game.  hopefully this will help.  plus working pryz in is great in practice.  I say anytime you can get some time off to rest and retool is great...i think it comes at a great time as they have a big road trip right after friday so maybe this is good.   i dont think we had much momenutum and rythm going on anyhow.  anyhow I am hoping for a win  go blazers
