Zach is more expensive, but honestly, where would Memphis be without his grit and scoring?  Rudy Gay is possibly tapped out at around 22ppg and they don't have many other options on offense.  Mayo and Conley are nice, but not exactly threats nightly.  Zach you can always count on for them.  I know I am still pushing the "Marc would be a great fit here", but I believe that is the move that can elevate our team to the finals

I think Gaol is more important to them than Randolph but I think they will just keep them both since they play well together and play different positions.  I dont think they have to make a decision on who to keep since they play best when they have both of them in the lineup and also niether has expressed any concerns about minutes

True but both are Free agents this coming year and they might have to dump one or both depending on the CBA

Gasol's stock is considerably higher than his current pay would indicate.  He and his camp will be asking for substantially more than the 3 mil/year he is currently being paid.  Memphis will have to do some maneuvering to keep both ZBo and Gasol on their roster.

Only if he signs an extension and we keep Nic and LA... I would wanna keep Wes, Camby, and Joel.  I would understand if we had to give up Joel and would love to have him back after the season however.  Give them Dante and Rudy so they have a better Wing and a banger

True. But I still think Memphis will try to keep both but they are almost definately going to keep Gasol since he is a rfa and im guessing they will match any offer for him since he is one of their key players and is young.  But I guess you never know what will happen with Memphis

Agreed. Maybe we could add Oden in as well to sweeten the deal? I don't want to give up on the big guy but enough is enough. :/

I said it last week in another thread...Marc Gasol is the guy we need. I say offer up any 2 or 3 of these guys or more:  Elliot, Mills, Sean Marks, J. Freeman, Victor Clavier and N/O Draft pick and if need be, cash for Gasol. A potential 6 for 1 could really intrigue a team trying to restructure with a budget in mind.  Go get the big guy and be done with it already.  Camby will not be around forever.

I also honestly believe Greg is far from done and will prove that he's a valuable piece to Portland's yellow brick road towards a ring.  Please Mr. Allen sign the man and see what happens. One has too much invested to wash your hands of him now that both his knees should be fixed???

I dont want to give up on him either but if we got Gasol we wouldnt have any need for Oden.  It would be hard enough to just keep Marcus and Gasol happy with their playing time so having Greg, Marc, and Camby would not be good for the Blazers.  But I still think even if we offered them Greg they would not take our offer since Gasol and Mayo are the future of the grizzlies franchise.  I think we have a much better chance of getting a good big man from New Jersey or one of the other teams after Melo since they are trying to trade for as many expiring contracts as possible before free agency starts.  I think we would have a pretty good chance of getting Derrick Favors from new jersey if we are willing to take on Devin Harris' contract in a deal with them.

Yeah and now Blazers have zero interest in Bynum. I really thought he was worth the small risk. If anything he would be at the end of our bench and we use him as a sub. Hopefully we do make some type of trade for a quality back up center. Right no...
