Haha. I think at this point in my Blazer-fan-career, I would actually miss all the Casey love flowing his way from you, haha!

i think he did give you a shoutout. but he didnt give me one. :( he refuted me compliments on him having fashion sense, which i still disagree with because man... i love him in that sweater.

AND unfortunately i will be absent from the live chat tomorrow because i have to WORK and wont even be able to watch the game!!!!! first game of the season im not gonna be at or watching. fooey.

This game will be a good test, especially with the sad news of Oden and the injuries, they now know they can beat any team despite all the injuries and criticism from the league and commentators. That game against Denver, Charles making that comment that they need to trade Oden to a good team. Charles don't know our team is already one of the better teams. I hope Oden is back for us next season. Other then that, I'm looking forward to the game.

And Charles needs to know that Portland has the best fans in the NBA. A big key to winning the last game against Denver, they looked spooked at the end when they kept missing those shots at the end and we were hitting 3's all over the place (Rudy and Matthews) I laughed because at the beginning of the game they said that Portland's one of the worst 3 point shooting teams in the league. Looks to me they beat Denver in there shooting game. Utah will be tough, think they number one in the northwest division at 8-4 we're 8-5. Should be a fun game to watch.

im gonna have the game on the radio in my office at work but saturdays are VERY busy and i doubt ill have much of a chance to actually listen. but ill DVR the game and watch it the second i get home which will be at midnight. its gonna be a long night tomorrow!

awe, least you get to listen to it at work. I'm lucky I get off early and I have today off. Wednesdays are long days for me. Hope all is well with everyone. Be back in chat after the game to brag about the victory lol   peace yall :)

- Matthews having another big game
-TNT Announcers giving us credit when its due (even though this is not a televised game)
- Sean Marks having a 22 point game.
- Cristi saying "I'm a fan of Casey" at least 5 times in the Live chat <3
- Rebounding for Camby and Sean Marks
-TomL to stop all posting for the next 48 hours

Basically, we need Sean Marks to have a 30-30 like Kevin Love or I don't picture us winning this game.

My keys to the Jazz-Blazers, or Blazers-Jazz, I've read it both ways.

• Outscore the opponents: These last two games, we beat Memphis by 1, and Denver by 3, and while a win is a win in the box score, these past couple of games have scared me, much like the squirrel who chased me back into my house this morning. 
• Rebounding: In those last two wins, Blazers have outrebounded their opponent 87-73, and to me, whoever controls the boards, controls the outcome of the game (that is to say, as long as the shots are falling as well).  If Matthews can have another strong rebounding night against his old squad, as well as LMA getting a body on the opposition, we can control the boards.
• The Fantastic Four getting high numbers: Wesley, LaMarcus, Andre, and Marcus (and a lot of times Nico, but we'll leave him out of this as I am yet to think of a nickname for 5 people, without it sounding boy-bandish) have all put up awesome numbers vs Memphis & Denver, and if they can get in double digits on scoring and share the boards, another plus for the team
• Transition: While it seemed like out transition offense and defense were doing a little better last night, guys have to hustle more, while we have been controlling rebounds as of late, fast break opportunities definitely hurt us. 
• Free Throws:  These are a must, and going 1-6 on FTA to start out, that's what made the difference of us losing at halftime (although thanks to Wesley's three pointers-3 in a row) we were only down by two @ the half.

Best fans? eeeek. 3pt shooting, yes, defintley a tool/weapon we should take advantage of, with the loss of Korver they will be out a couple of Trey's, but the most surprising thing about Utah, their Center Okur, is the most accurate 3pt shooter, he hits almost all of them, granted he doesnt take alot but still, weird! 
However in that Denver game, there were TOO many unnecessary fouls from our guys, we also got away with a couple, including one that would of tied the game there at the end, Wesley totally fouled Afflalo.

I think you are right. The rebounding issue is a HUGE deal, they need to fight and grab those boards, Matthews i think had 10 in Denver? WOW!
Free Throws are always a big issue with any team, and in most cases is the deciding factor of who wins.
As for the fantastic "4", they are far from fantastic IMO haha. 

I think its more Important, now then ever with Roy out, for Batum to prove his worth, he gets all this praise for medicore work. He needs to BLOW UP, forget Matthews, give it to Batum. Batum needs to get his LeBron on, this guy has got the speed, got the hops, we know he can dunk, so why doesnt he?
He has the opportunity to get AND1's all day. The dudes gotta nice 3,  dont get me wrong, but pump fake, draw that defender in, pump fake and drive! and DUNK!
Or pump fake, drive, draw a defender, and BOOM wide open Camby/Aldridge/Marks/ANYONE. He needs to show WHY HE STARTS.
