    I wish they would suit Joel up for the emotional boost it could provide, however I agree we can break this 2L streak tonight

    Might as well make this the game thread, right?
    We will need to be the aggressors tonight. Gasol is a load down low and really lives of to his nickname of "The Tank". One player to watch out for is Mike Conley. He always seems to hit threes and gets inside the paint at will against us. Dre and AJ must do a good job of slowing him down and disrupting the offense.

    Memphis played pretty poor last night in Orlando so I would suspect them to be sharper returning home. 

    It is a back-to-back for them so im hoping our fresh legs will give us a boost and a win.

    Its going to be tough.  I believe the only reason they are not a top West team is a lack of a bench threat.  Keep the pressure when their 2nd unit is on the floor, hit the open shots and get Z-bo into foul trouble.  Like I said for Sarahs thread we need to move the ball and move without the ball and LA needs to battle with Zach for every board nothing easy!

    Wesley Matthews will start at shooting guard tonight in place of injured Brandon Roy when the Blazers visit the Memphis Grizzlies.
    I like this. Wesley is used to starting from his rookie year in Utah and he'll be able to really lock down Mayo to start the game off. OJ is a streak shooter so if we can keep him cold early, hopefully it carries over for the rest of the night.

    I think Wesley can help establish a defensive mood straight away by starting...Rudy is our sharp shooter who can come off the bench and inject some energy and hopefully continue the ball movement that that hopefully the starters have provided. GO BLAZERS!!

    Diety, we don't need that boost for Memphis.  Unleash the beast on Denver and Utah !!
    Time for WM to earn that contract. Zbo still cant jump over a phonebook, LA and Camby have him under control.

    He knows the Vet tricks that can turn LA into an emotionally out of control player though.  Camby needs to make sure Aldridge doesn't lose his cool.

    Camby may have his hands full with little Gasol. Who is the only player I worry about on the Grizz. Maybe Cho can pull off a trade for him ......
    Zbo still doesnt play a lick of D, he may get his double double, but LA should own him in the paint with how he has been playing this season. Which imo, is why Zbo was shipped out of Portland in the first place.
    I don't give Zbo credit for being a high iq guy, by any stretch of the word. I wonder whatever happend to Jeremiah, and his broken Zbo heart ?? :)

    I agree, Marc Gasol would be a good fit here in Portland.  I like WM starting as well.. Bring it on Griz!!  We got this!!
