I think 50 win talk is in the past with the way things are going for us. We should probably still make it to play-offs but maybe in 8th seed? what you think? I think Roy needs a big rest or surgery, his knees are on the bring of destruction could cause him/us more problems. We need a trade for some1 who can replace him this year. Things just don't look too good for us, it sure is not the season we were hoping for. Plus next years draft shouldn't even be that good so losing games and hoping for something not gonna work for us. I think we need immediate trade before we fall even more into this deep whole. Maybe new coach??

Have you been a Blazer fan for longer then 1 year?

This SAME thing happened last year with all the injuries and these SAME posts were getting posted. Blazers are one of the most reliable franchises in NBA history. We always make the playoffs.

My prediction, we play L.A. Lakers or Spurs and get knocked out 1st round and Nate does NOT get a contract extension

We should be really worried about this team. We just aren't that good right now. We seem to be stuck with the same problems that have plagued us in the past. No inside game, trouble scoring, defense is weak, we can't guard anyone, teams are imposing their will on us and Nate is ineffective at getting this team to play at the level of a play off team.
We can't just say that we are tired and it was a back to back - NO we just aren't that Good!! Think about Utah winning those games in the east after being down big, That should be us with all our "talent and potential." W.M. where are you? We need points of the bench!!!! We used to have that energy and ability to fight, now we look pathetic - it's like we have given up mentally.
Mike rice said he thought we would win 47 this year, I'm doubtful of this number if we continue to look this bad.

My number for the season, and I predicted this before the season began was 45. I'm starting to think 42 ~ 44 now..

But yeah, we are playing terribly. We're just taking low % shots except miller.

ive been a fan since 1999 and i always followed the blazers, through those years when they sucked so bad that nobody that i'd ask liked them but after they got rid of some players, got good drafts picks. we started winning games, after we got 1st pick nd drafted oden the whole town was turned into fan base and their love came back. last year was different we had roy, our all-start, team leader pretty much in good health. guys were younger and probably much more hunger. right now it seems like only miller is trying real hard, the others turned into zombies. i dont know what nate is trying to do but this things doesnt seem to really work, beginning was nice but then again we fought back in 4th quoter. this team had a bright future but right now it doesnt seem so bright anymore. changes needed right now or we gonna blew this season. its just gonna be one of those long seasons. i just hope G.O can make a come back, he is our hope thats why we drafted him as number 1.

If there is on thing I can't take on this site is weak fans jumping all over the place.  WOW! Why not write sale the team, or just blow it up.

What I see now is for the GM to bring in a spark plug off the bench.  Bayles was a spark for us, but now it seems we aren't getting anyone coming off the bench with that type of energy.  Armmon Hammer bring a little but the team is unsure where he's going with the ball!

We should sit Roy for the season, get the right surgery for him even if he doesn't come back to the court in 2012.  Let this be a year we get the bigs back and just maybe next year we get Brandon back healthy.

The Pribilla will be back soon with Oden to follow!

I fate to say it, but Ron will need MICRO-FRACTURE SURGERY.  JUST GET IT DONE!  Don't let him damage himself by wanting to continue to play injured.

Looks like Portland is the place for knee injuries.

if we can make play offs i think that would be awesome, but true roy need to come and team needs to learn how to play without him for sometime. maybe build a new chemistry, its better now or later when there is not much time. for some reason i dont see much defense from our team, teams kinda score a lot on us as of late. last night was weird, it felt like they made them wake up at 3 am and play basketball.

Well! They had a game the night before that ended around 7:30 pm.  They flew to New Orleans and played a fresh team that had 3 days off. Did anyone see how heavy their leg looked.  They played two games with in a 24  hour period. Don't forget the two hour time difference.

Point taken. But I don't like the fact that the coach is benching those players who are on the active list and who still have to see decent minutes. They are not there to play only on garbage time. They are there to play, nuff said. As far as I what I heard, the coach is only playing a 9-man rotation. Where are the three other bodies? They should have been playing decent minutes, especially on situations like these wherein the gap between games are only hours apart. Coach Nate is still good, but he has to change his strategy a bit. If he can't trust some players, it might be bad for the team's chemistry.

Gotta agree with Tiki for once...we get knocked out the 1st round from F#kers or Spurs...Nate no contract ext. we shoulda kept Monty and gave Nate the boot...but you never know what can happen when were healthy! and our tuffest part of the schedule is almost done!

Is this a band wagoner blog?

This is early in the season, the Bench crew is still learning the ropes. BRoy is learning to be a facilitator because of his knees, and we are short in the front court. We are still in the fight, we still have lots of game left, and hopefully the team doesn't jump ship as fast as some of the fan's do.

We are still growing with our new members; true Nate doesn't play Babbit or Mills much and Marks is just a body to throw in. But it is still Nate's job to win games, and although I like what Babbit, Armon, Wesley, and Mills brings in the future, right now they can't produce as much as a tired rotation player, plus the rotation has to learn to play with fatigue because it is a long season.

I have no crystal ball, I do not know where we will end up in the play-offs or even if we will make the play-offs, but I will not give up on the team because of a bad streak in playing. They will adjust and stay in the fight. That is all we can ask of them.

Unless Roy's knee magically heals itself, I don't see us making the playoffs.
40-45 wins this season. Lets pick up Brandon Knight. He'd be a nice addition to the roster.
Maybe getting a lottery pick wouldn't kill us, I mean, we have NOBODY that plays aggressive, nobody with a killer instinct. We need a player or two that can bring amazing energy to the floor and take the game over. I'm trying to look at this in a positive way, w/o the old Roy, this team will not flourish in the ways it was expected too. We have issues at the 1,2,4, & 5 spot now. The only position that's solid is the is our SF. A small rebuilding effort couldn't hurt. Our draft pick we have coming from NO, plus the ones we will have, will do us some good. Lets get some AGGRESSIVE PLAYERS w/o a injury riddled past. TrailBlazers 2013 NBA champs! Lets go Blazers!!

we need a beast on this team, strong tall powerful player who can be aggressive around the hoop, kinda like oden. we would have no problem if he was in our line up and injury free. im sure he could be the dominant player for a long time... its kinda sad if ur a blazer fan who wants this team to be one of the best in the league.. we just gotta be patient im sure blazers are working on something. mr. cho its ur time to shine

uhhh you must be new, everyone here overreacts at first notice.
WE won our first 3 games and people thought we were going to be finals contenders?
First 4 games, we have already somehow found our PG of the future, who played like 20 mins total at that point.. hahahaha its how we roll.

As for the playoff predictions:  40-50 wins, 6-8 seed West, 2-3 seed Northwest.
solid as usual . i think we take No2 behind the Thunder.
I want to say Anthony will be traded midway through or something, when Denver for sure knows its chances.

@ Yuriy, YOu are 100% correct, it is very difficult to win in the west without a solid BIG Big. hahah. Oden would honestly help this team out so much, i swear you could play the Bench players with Oden and they could go to the Playoffs. But WE dont have him, and all the Bigs we have, are unreliable, Aldridge is the only reliable one close enough to the skill level that can take us anywhere, we gotta help this guy out somehow, because he cant do all the work.

To go another season with so many rookies is not a good idea. We need a couple of vets and atleast one young bench scorer. If we want a Center, go after Hawes from Philly and Dorrell wright can be signed as a free agent. We can trade our 2nd round...
