The "Locked" Feature/Site Suggestions

    Right now the locked feature is a little out of whack. Whenever a moderator has to lock a thread, the icon will show up but for one reason or another, it still allows users to post inside the topic. I know you all know this, so I am asking you to please avoid posting in locked threads. They were locked in the first place for a reason, so continued posting in them will only cause more of a raucous. I really don't like deleting threads, but that's what going to have to happen if people can't follow these instructions.

    The developers that have made this site and help out with all of its functionality have been extremely busy lately with other Blazers projects, mainly Trailblazers.tv, so hopefully we'll be able to address this soon. With that said, are there any suggestions you'd like to see on the boards? I know there is a forum for suggestions, but I doubt many people look in there so I wanted to post it in here as well.

    Myself, I would like for others non-moderated users to be able to delete and edit their own posts. Along with the locked feature, I'd like for the moderators to be able to merge similar threads into one to keep the boards clutter free. Is there anything else you guys would like to see? Your input will only make these boards a better Blazers community.

    Merging similar threads would be great, sometimes we get 5 threads at once on the same thing! Edit would also be great. And most of all, a "Block this person" or an "Ignore" option would be great as well.
    Also a thumbs up/thumbs down, or a like/dislike option for posts could be useful as well.
    I am a fan of comcast and the blazers making deals that keep screwing us over!! woot!

    Okay, no.

    We only need an edit button and a lock button....

    We don't need ignores, if you can't handle the heat of somebody, GET OFF THE FORUMS.
    We certainly don't need a thumbs up, this isn't Facebook, seriously.

    I like the idea of an agree or disagree without always having to go into a huge detail.  I know polls are a Mod thing but sometimes I wish I could create a poll that is reasonable or acceptable.  No polls like "Is so and so more annoying than whose its face" legit fan sensitive poll questions

    Another thought to go along with the agree/disagree buttons would be a system where posters can award other posters with points(certain amount per 24hr period per poster to give out) like a respect system so under your post count it shows how many "respect" points or whatever you would call it so people know how much people appreciate that persons posts so if you are in a hurry you can go to highly coveted posters.  I don't think I explained it well but im having a brain fart sorry I can elaborate if needed
