It's time for revenge! I don't believe Westbrook can continue to hit contested jumpers at the clip he did in Portland and we need to continue to throw the alley-oop if they front LA in the post.

Yes that's true, but we MUST contain Durant and Westbrook. Wouldn't mind for a lot of the game seeing Roy/Mathews/Batum taking Durant and Westbrook.  If we can hold each of them to under 25 points we'll win. But last game they each had like 28 and 11 or something... that can't happen again. The other key is we MUST win the rebound battle. If we do those two things we'll win.

it would also help if the refs dint get on their knees and give durrant fouls that dont even exist. call loose ball fouls on westbrook and he wont have a single offensive board = game

LOL. You sir, are a God in my books. I laughed and I laughed HARD!!

    My keys are as follows:

-Stop Durant from penetrating, limiting his points in the paint
-Sean Marks; if he can have a breakout 20 point game, we WILL win!

We need to stop daring westbrook to shoot, and get up on him, its not hard to knock down shots if you know your gonna be given space.  Plus hes shooting mid range which he is adequately decent shooting.  We need to take the crowd out of the game early and not let up offensively, defensively, and on the boards.  And idk who said it but yea Westbrook damn near went over the back for every offensive rebound and wasnt called for it.  We cant let their Backcourt have more boards than our frontcourt we cant win like that.  We need to make them work for their points and get easy buckets on the other end. We need to play the game and not the score treat every possession the same and execute

If we stayed collected and play good defense and limit our TO'S we got this Win by its neck=) I think it will be LA and Miller tonight who will bring the game. C'mon blazers beat these thunder team!!!

35 point quarter? Great start. I love that we are attacking them. It must continue if we are to win. Andre is really doing it all for us right now though. He has to be able to get to the line like he has been doing. The only downside is we aren't defensive rebounding.

yea and once again we can blame the Refs for the Blazers losing. because thats the only way they lost right? hahahahah

I started watchin this and Kevin Durant is just developing as a player each game, like practice, while the Blazers are were out there struggling, Durant is Developing, he is looking for his shot, trying out new moves, and all Portland can do is watch, with shock and awe.
Andre is still working that, take horrible shots and draw the foul, angle.
Its now almost predictable when Aldridge is going to take the shot, or...what is the other option again....oh yeah, PASS!

Portland may have the lead but the only thing that is noticeable is the same lame mistakes they keep making, they are not doing anything about 'em.

Uh, what mistakes are you talking about? We lead by 4 and have scored 65 on the road. I don't know how much more you can ask for. Also, Durant isn't the one developing, its Westbrook and they'd be losing by 20 if it wasn't for him. All KD is doing right now is jacking up contested jumpers while RW is stealing, getting to the lane, and handing out nice assists.

Can't believe Rudy didn't hit that 3..he probably makes that 7-8 times out of 10. What's even worse about this loss is that we are now 0-2 vs. the Thunder on the season, making it impossible to have the tiebreaker over them. Just a frustrating game that I felt like we let slip away in the last 3 minutes of action. Credit to OKC though, Westbrook and Durant are nearly unstoppable on offense. It's scary to think of how well they will be when they hit their prime. Even harder is the fact we have to face undefeated New Orleans tomorrow on the 2nd half of a back to back..a tall task, but we'll need an entire team effort again tomorrow night.

We had an 8 point lead in that quarter. But 3-4 airballs later, and the OKC Super-Somethin's had the lead back.

somehow this loss didn't hurt so bad. I think bc i was proud of the way they played tonight. Not so many mistakes. When playing a guy like westbrook, they should close the lane earlier when they see him start his drive; then force him to dump off to a big or to a jump shooter and hope that somewhere in the passing process there is a deflection and steal. If he doesn't dump, in theory he'll either get called for a charge or dribble it out. Easier said than done, but i know the blazers can do a better job of this. Luckily there isn't a Westbrook on EVERY team in the NBA.

I think blazers definitely win this game if Lamarcus had his shot goin for him. That's going to be an ongoing theme for this season. Until he finds a way to become unstoppable, blazer wins will be dependent on if his shot is on. Lamarcus needs to study Pau Gasol's game.

Nic Batum gets a lot of looks off of back door and baseline cuts but hasn't learned to either a.) go up strong or b.) up-fake and draw contact. It's a very situational skill, but he'll help the team tremendously if he adds this element to his game.

I feel the same way. The positives I take from this game, Brandon looks a little better health wise especially later in the game. Even though he missed 2 layups he normally makes he showed something he hasn't in a while; that quick second jump he has.

One thing I can say is our defense, mainly on the perimeter, looks a lot like swiss cheese.

I think there's something wrong with this team, when we have been beaten twice by the Thunder on clutch situations. People here have been ranting why the Thunder have been getting the national spotlight. It pains me to say but the games said it all, OKC actually deserve their current hype and they actually deserve it than what the Heat got.

I think this team need to pull up a trade sooner in order to get the help that they need or sign up a draft pick who has yet to play in the league. Why draft those players if they aren't gonna play in the NBA anyway.

We need somebody to defend westbrook thats the problem.  We kept Durant fairly quiet but RW is a pure scorer, almost like JBay was and he was killing us.  I would love to see our team put the effort into O boards like RW does.  Half the time we could grab them if the players WANTED them

Great game, loved the effort by everyone just didn't like the final score.

OKC with another statement game, on national television beating a division rival. Durant got smoking hot at the end and capped off that run. Rudy had the clean look for the win, but was a little short not mad at all he took that last shot.

Lots more games to play, and two more chances to even the season series.

Defense was the problem, we need that middle filled with a big body and then we can get up into a player like westbrook, because if the defender gets beat off the dribble, we would still have a big he would have to contend with in the paint. Time and time again westbrook just put the ball on the floor and drove to the basket.
Joel needs to come back soon, we need some toughness in the paint.
Kevin Mcale said it best, "the team that wins the battle in the paint usually wins the game."
I think our team will be defensively better when our bigs get back.
I thought our Offense looked pretty good at times (EXCEPT L.A. COME ON BRO, YOU NEEDED TO SHOW UP IN THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!)
We scored with ease at times and Roy looked a little better, which was good to see.
Man, two close games with this team and two losses and we could have gotten both with one made shot, in the last couple of seconds, of both games; this fact, makes me not worry about our team so much.
I think I it will even out when our big's can take care of the inside.

BOOM! i love it, every time i am on the verge of losing all hope in these fans, YOU are there to save em.
I believe you are right on this point, and glad that you feel the same way as i on this topic.

i thought i painted a good picture for you but let me hit you with the blueprints.

Durant gets alot of BS on this site, because he has no game, does the same lame stuff every night, look even you yourself stated "all KD is doing is jackin up jumpers."
So if this guy has no game, what does that say for the BLazers D? Durant is developing in the sense that he's out there shuffling around, looking for his shot, and the Blazers are just letting him. I mean Durant has been working on that Jumper NO DOUBT! so the fact that they were letting him take those shots is ridiculous, asking to fall behind. He is getting better with each shot, one because his jumper improves somehow each time he goes up man in his face or not, and second, he is learning that POR is going to half@$$ it on defense, so he knows they will allow him to take the shot, he is able to read the defense better.

Now i didnt say Durant is the only one developing out there, so to mention Westbrook destroying the defense and offense, only proves my point, of the BLazers not doing anything to stop it.
Nate , You and I know that putting Miller on Westbrook is like putting Amelia Erhart on Seabiscuit, one is too fast to cover while the other is nowhere to be found.
Westbrook is just blowing up, and the smart move, would of been to put in Armon, if he is this PG of the future,  then why doesnt he start be guarding a player that leads to our demise. I think Armon and Mills could of done a decent job of maintaining Russel, but i did not see the whole game so i do not know if they were put in.
And more about miller, he is taking the same shots that he was taking a couple games ago, they are contested off balance shots. Now idk where the "true fan" role steps in, but to me, it doesn't matter if he made them, he shouldn't of been taking them in the first place. Kevin Love can hit half court shots in his sleep, but does he during games? Miller is out there last night, feeling ever so comfortable with that jump shot, thinking hes Kobe Bryant or something, hes not. Miller should not be taking any jump shots, and CERTAINLY NO 3's.

Speaking of Armon, I am also wondering why his bestfriend, Luke Babbitt, hasn't seen decent minutes yet. He could have been a good back-up at the 3. And he has to get the training that he could get this early. Nate's style of benching rookies certainly won't help in the long run.

And I am still rooting for Mike Conley. He has to be in this team. I want to hear trade rumors involving him and this team. He'll have an emotional value to be playing alongside his bestfriend, Greg Oden.
