Blazers: 6-3 to 6-5

    The Blazers right now are 6-3. Their next 2 games are against OKC (who beat us last week) and NOH (1 of 2 undefeated teams in the league with an MVP canidate).

    Well Blazer fans, I thought we could have a nice start this year, guess not.

    I believe in these blazers and im always confident in them so it will be 8-3 after those two games, i dont think we will see a lot of roy though but its gonna be LAs, Rudys nd Batums game=) Go Blazers!! Can't wait for friday

    No i believe we can win both of these games, are the Thunder and Hornets good yes do both have a healthy star on the team yes. But neither team has close to the depth and versatility the blazers do.  And if we take the reins off that second unit that dominated on defense against detroit and get the 1st unit to play the same intensity on defense we can take them.  Against OKC we need know what we need to do.... move the ball, step into confidently and knock down shots, rotate on d, crowd KD and Westbrook ,  and Our guards need come in  when shots go up and help our big corral those boards.  Against NO we need to play as team and feed LA to use his size advantage over David West, we need to attack and get to the line, and contain Paul and Bayless

    No need to give up yet Tiki.

    I think we have a shot at winning at least one of the games this weekend. We have a ton of energy off the bench. They energized us last night like crazy against Detroit. That's a big lift and hopefully they've recognized their impact. If they keep it up we'll have 2 good games on our hands.

    So, we have already lost the games that haven't been played? Can someone find the holes in that logic....Don't watch the games then Tiki if you think we'll lose. They don't play the games on paper, they play them on the court. I bet you didn't think Utah would waltz into the MIA last night and get a W, but guess what...they did! Anything can happen in the NBA.

    the key to win is defense nd we can play defense, LA AND CAMBY THEY CAN rebound. We gotta come out confident and play tough 48 minute basketbaLL game

    So when we get to the playoffs and we play a legit team I guess we can just give up on them there as well because the other teams are better? hmmmm... go blazers.

    I think we can suprise the league witht the unit we put out there in the 2nd half, they crowded they're men, helped each other out and when they got the ball they pushed the break for easy buckets and in the half court they communicated and got buckets.  That armon/cunningham pick and pop can be a staple of there half court.  Cunningham made that mid range jumper his staple at Villanova hes money on it.  Wesley needs to refine that handle and get to the foul line like he did in the preseason but his defense was subperb last night he was an absolute pest and gave his man no space.  And armon just needs to keep playing and he will be fine that boy is a hooper.

    @DHawes; Utah is a GREAT TEAM, MIA has been wayy too hyped up over the summer, their record is 5-3, they ain't as impressive as everybody thought they'd be...I'd take Utahs roster over Miami's anyday...

    the fact that we lost against OKC will just make us want to beat them more + NOH cant go undefeated forever...... AND WES MATTEWS CAN HUMP DURANT OFF THE COURT!!!

    Speaking of the Hornets, isn't it that Monty Williams used to be an assistant coach of this team? I have an analogy: Dallas (Avery Johnson) vs Golden State (Don Nelson) during the 2007 Playoffs.
    I guess the true test of the Hornets this season will come against our team (and against the Lakers too).

    So, I called the loss to Thunder by the right amount of points and I called their record.

    Guess what?! Someone just made a CORRECT prediction!
    I just looked at the current NBA standings, and the Blazers are out of the playoff picture. If it continues to be like this, I say goodbye playoffs this season.

    All things considered, this isn't that bad of a start. Sure the potential was greater before last weeks newsfest, but 6-5 is not all that bad considering the parity and depth in the western conference - especially given our early schedule. To early to hit the panic button IMO guys...

    I think what Stotts is doing is superb. His plays are great. I remember the only play he ever called for Meyers Leonard, against the Bobcats. Great movement, got LMA a good mid range look, got Batum a decent three look and the got Meyers way down ...
