How many of you out there would agree that L.A. is looking more aggressive in these first 7 games?

    2010-11 Statistics

    PPG
    19.7
    RPG
    8.60
    APG
    1.6
    EFF
    + 20.71
Stats seem the same from last year, but he just seems to be going for it (inside) in my opinion, I think he is proving he is a true asset to this team and someone we can have faith in clutch situations. What do you all think?

It is great to see L.A. taking on this more aggressive role I agree! I was just watching the game last night with the neighbor over and he said we should trade him...I almost asked him to leave. I especially liked LaMarcus' comment after the game about how he knows that he needs to be more aggressive. He talked about bangin' more down low and really goin' after those boards. Can't wait to see him posterize some more unsuspecting players. Here comes the L-Train! GO BLAZERS!!!

I read this post and I thought it was a complete joke.

L.A still has not changed his game to be more aggressive inside. He has IMPROVED his game. Notice his FG% is much higher outside the paint. That means he is hitting the shots he should be hitting. Also, I love his fade-aways. Still, not aggressive but he is hitting them at a much higher percent. So I disagree, I don't think L-TRAIN has been more aggressive, just improving his game and hitting shots.

L-RAPE in my opinion, needs to be getting less fouls per game. Every single game this season with the exception of 1, he has been in foul trouble. He needs to avoid this in case overtime happens and we don't have him. Y'know, not like we needed him vs the Thunder in OT or anything.

What? Tiki you are crazy to understand as a blazer fan. You are the self-claimed "biggest fan in the world" of any big we have that shows hustle on the floor right? That's why you loved Oberto and now Sean Marks. So let me get this right then. You bash on L-Train because of his fouls per game? Yet you praise Marks as the third greatest scoring threat in tonights match up vs. Lakers. Do you not read stats? Lamarcus Aldridge: 33+ min, 22 points, 10 boards, 3 fouls. Now your man Sean Marks: 8+ min, 0 points, 0 boards, 3 fouls. So seriously cut the crap already.

I agree that LA is being more aggressive to start the season but I think he needs to hit the boards more consistantly. For instance he only had 4 rebounds against OKC compared to Camby's 12 and Durant & Westbrook's 11. Also he had one good game blocking shots, other than that he needs to contest more shots.

He's improving his post game. He's looking to attack a lot more than defer to his mid-range fade-away, he still does a fade but it's closer to the basket thus a higher percentage shot.

L.A. is the only player on the starting lineup with a sense of urgency last night, which was a pitiful game that I wish we would have lost had it not been for Nate dumping the starters and giving his rookies some meaningful (to them if not to the starters) playing time, babbit may not be polished, but he gets the garden's blood flowing and he at least looks like he wants to be out there. Roy has looked more and more on an island out there while the rest of the team seems to be trying to work together, is Roy upset because he's the only one in portland who wants to see him go 1v5, it sure doesn't seem like the team wants to see that against a team any of them can handle 1v1. While I am somewhat glad Roy is selfishly getting his stats, whether we want to believe it or not the best way to get the calls and attention is to have superstar(s).

This turned into a rabble rabble, but last nights game was soo damn disappointing.

Aldridge has improved. there is no question about that.
But has his judgment improved? Or is he still making poor shot selections?
I saw him @ the clipper game, playing the same ol LaMarcus,  far away, when completley unessecary.
Post moves are growing, but there is really no effeciany with them, i mean for every nice post move he has, there is an equally dissapointing post move. But if he is throwing up those kind of numbers, who cares if he misses half of his shots? Or grabbing all those boards, he wasnt doin any of that last season, he maybe had 5 on a good day last year, now look at him.
The team doesnt have a "bench" really, so who else is going to score? I would rather have LA shoot the ball than anyone on that bench. So if LA is still making poor shots, thats okay, nothing new, however what is new, is more boards, agressivness, more points, in my eyes thats worth it.

He is still taking way to many faders and mid range jumpers in my opinion.  From what ive seen on offense he is being just as aggresive as he was last season, the big improvement has been on the defensive end of the floor.  I have noticed that his added muscle and strength have really helped out a ton on defense, and he is not the pushover on d that he was the last couple years.  I think this could be crucial to the blazers ability to go further in the playoffs this year since it meens that players like Dirk, Pau, and duncan wont be dominating us anymore.  But La still needs to become more aggresive offensively if he wants to be one of the top 5 pf's in the game.
I am a fan of the Blazers draft selections. Feels good to finally be able to say that

This has got to be a joke.

If Marks could get a rythm in the game and actually some quality minutes, we could see L-Trains stats + more.

Sean Marks is a veteran, leader, great shooter... He has the package. L-Train does these terrible FG% shots where he jumps away from the rim. He needs to watch Tim Duncan, who has terrible inside moves and watch how he takes it to the hole. This, Duncan will be in the hall of fame, just like Marks will if he can grab some minutes.

If you swap Marks and L-trains minutes, we would see the new Shaq. The white Shaq that can actually score and has distance. What more do you want?

LA is overrated, Marks is underrated.

PS- L-Train is about to have a terrible game tonight because he's going against GOOD players. I predict a 12 point game from him.

    haha, white shaq.
Aldridge shoots himself in the foot all the time, its self degradation.
Marks has decent size, and reminds me of Kaman. Kaman can ball, but he has the aldridge syndrome, he shoots himself in the foot ery game. takes horrible shots.
But you cant deny Kaman is good, and Marks could be as good as kaman, and this team could use someone like Kaman.

I guess I was wrong about that AGGRESSIVENESS from L.A. Pathetic outing!!!! How can you call yourself a "POWER FORWARD" WHEN YOU HAVE NO POWER AND YOU NEVER GO FORWARD - I'm a little disgusted in Roy and L.A. for wilting like two limp pieces of lettuce in the California Sun - JUST PATHETIC !!!!!

I think LA is goin into Pau mode hes seeing that Roy needs more help on carrying the load and is stepping up.  I for one have seen him incorporate those extra counter moves that he said he worked on in the summer and they are paying off.  Now instead of counters he needs to work on 1-3 goto moves in the post.  Anyone else think he should look a Al Jefferson and use the fakes and up and under more due to his length if he can get man off the ground and get the contact with his length he should be able to convert a lot of and ones

Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
