I dont know if any of you happend to catch that Knicks vs Bulls game yesterday, it might have been on at the same time as the Blazer game so idk, neighbors got NBAtv, so i had a good night,ha.

Anyway, the game was pretty uneven, the knicks had a solid lead throughout the entire game almost, it was always about 10-11 pts and somtimes got up 16-20. But what happend in the 3rd, was amazing, the Bulls must of pulled out some of MJ's old sneakers....or advice. They were running wild, Derrick Rose was creating a highlight tape, throwing all kinds of tear drops, and double clutch layups with shades of Dominique Wilkins.
Rose was a highlight reel waiting to explode. Most of the other starters hadnt played great, Deng still comin off that 40 he dropped, but Rose appeared to be the only one workin it tonight, so he lead the Band of Bench players on this miraculous streak.
The 4th quarter started with CHI down by about 8 or 10, Rose was still in playing, very well i might add. By this time he already had 26 points and 14 rebounds, the last two people to dish out 14 or more dimes.... Jordan and Pippen.
So to say the least, Rose was "getting freaky like my lady pyramid" . However, the downtown pyromaniac Knicks, still had the lead, bout 10pts, with about 10mins to go in the 4th, really just everyone getting wet from downtown, yellin ""3's Please"
The coach for the Bulls pulls out Derrick, it was obvious he was tired, but when it came to about 4 mins left in regulation, and the score remaining steady at about a 10pt differential, Rose still sat.
The fans started cheering and yelling "We want Rose, We want Rose, We Want Rose!!!"
    But still no Derrick.
The Bulls went on to, unfortunately, lose the game 120-112. The speculation starts.
Why did Rose remain left out? Was it to satisfy or reward the bench players for the effort they had put forth?
If so why take out Derrick? Wasnt he the only starter doing his job, doing well?

What do you guys think of this decision, this game, and of Derrick himself?

I watched the game and there was actually a lead of 8 and he was still on the bench...

The main reason the coach decided to keep him benched (as well as Joakim Noah) was to reward the new players. Also, a comeback was still a bit of a reach and he wanted to keep his key starting players rested.

If I were the coach and you hustle back and find yourself only down 8, YOU PUT IN YOUR STARTERS. As a coach, you're paid to win, not to reward 2nd string players for feeling good.

I believe the 2nd stringer players were on a 8-0 pr 11-0 run or something. The game was winnable and I feel the coach should have put the starting 5 back in and tried to win that game.

I mean i totally agree with you, on putting the starters back in, if your down, but still a chance, maybe even 4 of the 5.
But i honestly want to hear the exact reason, because even the coach didnt talk about it after the game, so i am wondering if he was punishing him, i mean he was doin work no doubt, but i saw a few uncalculated shots, perhaps it was one too many.

From the Bulls/Knicks game .. as well as tonights game Bulls/Celtic's game ..

I've come to see a couple of things ..

    1) - Rose wants to take over the game but at times has a EXTREMELY hard time doing so .. He has no reliable shot .. he is mainly a driving scorer ..

    2) - How goes Deng .. so does the Bulls .. When Deng plays well the Bulls can run with anyone .. when Deng does not .. The Bulls are at best a mediocre team ..

This is of course from an extremely limited number of games (2) but I've also seen the runs within the games by the bulls .. And as I've stated it appear's that Deng is the key to the Bulls success more then Rose ..

I mean thats basically Rondo, right there.
Rondo couldnt shoot to save his momma's life. I have seen Rose hit his fair share of shots, and yeah he misses some, but heck thats what the NBA is all about, more than 45% of shots are missed, ha. But im liking Rose alot this season, he is on the next level.

Claver will make a great squad player when he develops his outside shot. His size is an asset because he can guard SF and stretch 4s. If he can be a better rebounder and add a post move to his game we could be looking at a possible answer to our f...

Oden was definitely the best pick coming out of high school and arguably ahead of Durant in the 2007 draft. But the draft is art not science and we really needed a dominant center at the time. If we can get Oden for a short term low-risk deal. Lik...
