a friend of mine recently mentioned this to me and at first i thought, "no way." then i started thinking that maybe it's not outside the realm of possibility. the coaches who vote for the reserves are all familiar with Marcus, he's making a very good impact here at the beginning of the season and there aren't a ton of exceptional centers in the western conference. the biggest problem i see is that once Joel and Greg return, Marcus' playing time will likely go down a little bit, thus minimizing his impact amongst the voters.

nevertheless, i think it's an interesting idea.

That's iffy, I'd say what you just said about when joel and oden come back, or say that he's more naturally a power forward, but Amare went in as a center and so did Duncan sometimes I think, so who knows. The center position is going to be pretty deep in the East this year, but in the west it's going to depend on records I think.   Yao's a lock for being voted in by the fans this year unless they change the voting process. And I'm sure somehow 4 OKC players are going to make it so slots are going to be limited. But coaches or players may vote in Camby.

I have to say it would be pretty sweet to see Marcus on the A-S team, but yes, if his playing time goes down, it may not be possible. Though, I do think, if he is being effective and Joel and.or G.O. is having an off game or even stretch, that Camby should be in there for more minutes. I just don't know if that translates to the needed votes. If I recall from last year (I'm probably wrong on this, lol, since I only caught a few games online) but at some point, weren't Joel and GO on the court together?

It is definitely an interesting idea but one that is way too early to be thinking about in this young nba season.  But as long as Camby continues to post up solid numbers like he's done in the first two games, he should at least be considered.  I think Oden's return would have more of an impact on Camby's chances than Pryzbilla's -- depending on how the Blazers establish him back into the rotation and how much they are willing to depend on him to contribute.

But yea, it is indeed an interesting idea, and I would love nothing more then to have multiple Blazers making it onto an all-star roster!

Since he hasn't been one his whole career, I find it highly unlikely he'll be one at age 36.  He'd have to beat out a lot of other candidates to become one.  Good thought, though :)

All-stars need to put up numbers along with have a "presence" on the court. Cambys putting up something but no where near All-star figured.

Unfortunately not. I don't think it would be possible. Others ahead of him would be T. Duncan, B. Lopez, Y. Ming, P. Gasol (playing a lot of center this season), D. Cousins, A. Jefferson, and maybe some others.

Realistically, I think that he will play less this season.  If Joel and Oden come back it would be awesome to see Camby be behind Aldrige in the linup.  That would be an amazing second unit with Camby and Pryzbilla.  Haha

The biggest thing that i forget about camby, is how he has a double double for a career average.
But i cant see him making the all star list, unless the blazers  really start working hard, and he fights for every second of playing time.
But if he's to be an all star, the team has to stay functioning the way it is.

Unless we get another solid bench player out of the deal, no way. Matthews is our best defender, our team leader, and our best three point shooter and clutch shooter. We don''t want to trade that away.

To go another season with so many rookies is not a good idea. We need a couple of vets and atleast one young bench scorer. If we want a Center, go after Hawes from Philly and Dorrell wright can be signed as a free agent. We can trade our 2nd round...

Thanks Ricky.   I''ll be watching @ 10.   Haven''t seen enough right hand from Shazamm.   Without the ability to take his defender either way off the bounce, let alone finish at the cup with either hand?   Second rounder at best.

That roster looks pretty good, but if we would have enough cash Corey or Ronnie brewer would be nice
