-Joe Johnson just got, i believe, a 111 million 5 year contract or some large amount and is the #1 guy for ATL, underrated.
-David Lee was a highly sought after FA by a number of teams I don't beleive he is underrated.
-Roy is a 3 time all-star and is ranked by a number of sources as the #3 SG in the NBA and #11 overall way not underrated.
-Chris Bosh is definately not underrated otherwise the "Big Three" signing would not have been such a big deal he is not underrated.
-Jermain is a good player and thats why everybody said it was a good acquisition for Boston but he is not spectacular anymore he is slowing down with his knees and age.  I don't think he is underrated he is in the middle where he belongs.
-David West is at least a 2 time all-star I believe I know he has been at least once, I think he is actually overrated personally.
-Batum may be underrated by fans of the NBA but not teams he has been inquiried about possibly the most out of the blazers other GMs and Coaches see his value maybe not fans but he is not underrated.
-Iguadola is a defensive specialist and should look to leave Philly.  He should not be the #1 or #2 offensive option he is a lockdown defender and is forced to be an offensive type player, however seeing as how he was a large part of team USA he is not underrated.

I don't know much about Granger so I don't have an opinion of him.

    My thoughts on your list.

The Fans of the NBA or the Fans of the Trailblazers?
Youve got 3 Trailblazers on your list. Everyone here already knows that the blazers are underrated.

Joe Johnson Just signed the FATTTEST Contract EVER!!!!
    Like SuperBlunt FAT!
The players you have listed, are like almost Boderline allstars, heck most of them are ALL stars.
Dennis Roddman was Underrated, because all people could do was look at his appearence, and they would just give up on him, thats what the U.S. is all about right? WRONG! Rodman led the NBA in rebounds for 8 YEARS! 8 Years, thats the length of some players careers.
Underrated players, like, someone who should start, but doesnt, Lamar Odom.Best underrated in my book.
Someone who works extremley hard everytime out, Jamal Crawford. Shoot, ill do you one better Manu Ginobli, easily the 2nd hardest working SG in the league.
Underrated when it comes to their skill, Cj Miles, Shannon Brown, Brown could start if he had a bit more experiance.
ill give you Lee, thats a good one.
Michael Beasley, Amazing Player, Even more amazing how Miami just let him loose in the blink of an eye, after the great addition he was to the team.

Just a few random names in no order.
    Aaron Brooks
    Monta Ellis
    Leandro Barbossa

I agree with Shannon Brown and also I would throw Trevor Ariza there if he would learn to control himself and conduct himself like a pro.  Personally I see Manus abilities as well as Crawford and Odom is not underrated in my book because everybody knows he can star anywhere but he is a class A team player being so willing to come off the bench for the better of the team.  As much as I hate the Lakers they have some unselfish players.  Personally I think Robin Lopez is underrated by fans he is essential to the Suns success and would have numbers like Brook if the offense funneled through him.

I have to call you out onm Odom. His efforts to the lakers team for the last two years, have been game deciding, where if he did not get at least 10 pts, and boards, they would win, if not, no W.
He is a 610 guy, who can hit a 3, with a lethal mid range jumper. He has the ability to create his own shot, he can score inside with a man tight on d. He can play any position on the court, the PG position would look a little funny, but im sure he could do it. He played a SF for LA a few years ago, he is bad a that spot, he is to paremater when he is SF, he has been and currently is PF, and in Fiba he was C, for the team that what, went undefeated?
He is so fast for a 610 guy carrying that wieght, and he still has a few years left, and i want to see him find a team, Erhm  Cough* Portland, where he can have a bigger impact, Odom is the captain of the Bench, and by golly he should be captain of the team.
    I love odom.

I am however surprised to find that you think crawford is an A class player,  Not many people would.

I Just said he isn't underrated because everybody knows he is talented so I don't know what you are calling me out for.  All I said is he isn't an unsung hero he is a well known contributor to their team.  Therefore not underrated he is good and people know he is good.

I meant Odom is a class A TEAM player because he will come off the bench to help the team win instead of being greddy and whining Im sorry if I insinuated that Crawfor was a class A player he is good at what he does but I don't beleive him to be a top tier person/player.

Chris Bosh is overrated, though he is a great player, Toronto only went to the playoffs 2 in the 7 years he was there.Joe Johnson around the league I could agree with, he never comes up in the best in league conversation, though he slightly is. And Danny Granger I totally agree with.

I was unaware of that, how unfortunate.

@ fallen, then perhaps you see more than most people. Becuase i think odom is underrated because NOT many people truly know how good he is, and i feel if they did there would have been a bigger outcry, when he was dismissed from a starter, for ariza or hell even artest.
The previous post season Kobe and artest are going at it, and then they decide to sign him?

Aldridge, Johnson and Bosh are extremely overated.  Esspecialy Bosh and Aldridge since they don't play good d but everyone thinks they are really good since they score a lot.  Aldridge will be a very good player once he learns to play d, but untill then he should not be an all star.  Bosh is at best third on list of best pf's and aldridge in my mind isnt even top 4 in the Western conference.  Pau, Dirk, Duncan and West are all better.

my top ten most underated is

    10. Danny Granger
    9. Pau gasol
    8  Monta Ellis
    7. Roy
    6. Artest
    5. Iguodala
    4. Batum
    3. Marc Gasol
    2. Shane Battier

its so hard to picture roy as underrated.
he is the 11th best player in the league right? haha.
Yi is a good one, i like chuck hayes, brandon bass, those tiny power forewards.
Cory maggette, and honestly Tmac is not looked at the way he should be, Tmac could honestly be, or in better words, has the potential to be better than LeBron and Kobe because he is almost a mixture of both. Tmac's game has so many in's and outs, this guy scored 13 pts in 35 seconds, i mean, WHAT!???
I definetly like Tmac and would like to hear more about him. Make some moves Tracy.

    In no oder:
Varejao, Chris Kaman, Danny Granger, Aaron Brooks, Dwight Howard, Al Horford, Kevin Love, Andrei Kirilenko, Iguodala, Nene.

And here's my two-cents on people thinking Batum is underrated...among blazers fans I think he's overrated RIGHT now. He's shown OVERSEAS that he can play, but so has Rudy. Can that game he plays in France transition over to the NBA game? I believe it can but to go as far as to say he's going to be a Scottie Pippen type player is a little pre-mature..even Tayshaun Prince. Andrei Kirilenko mixed with some Shane Battier is a better comparison for him. He's got to show that he can play some ON THE BALL defense on GREAT perimeter players for me to call him a good defender. Kobe and Durant had Batum on roller skates last year, while Webster made those two mentioned work for their shots, even shutting down Durantula for a game.

Yea but if you want to compare beasley to dante, then your outta luck on dante's end. Beasley worked wonders on that miami team, and its just amazing how they let him go just like that.
He can play multiple positions, very good i might add. Very underrated michael beasley, watch what he's finna do to Portland, when they play Minn, with no centers.

    Highly underrated:
Paul Millsap- ncaa leading rebounder for 3 YEARS !
Brandon bass- a dope guy to come off the bench
    Julian Wright
I  believve someone mentioned George hill, but i dont think they mentioned how he's going to rock the nba this year

    Actually no.
Brandon Roy has Easily been in the top 10, or top 15 for like couple years now.
And i DONT live in Oregon..........
I dont see how he can be underrated, what he's 4 5 seasons deep with 3 all star appearences. And usually a rookie of the year isnt an underrated award :/

Deron Williams is the 2nd best PG in the league (arguebly thee best) and yet only 1 time allstar ..

Deron Williams is thee single most under rated player in the league if you ask me.

Brook Lopez is in my honest opinion thee single most under rated Big .. (18.8ppg, 8.6rpg, 2.3apg, 1.7bpg)
    (17.9ppg, 8.0rpg, 2.1apg, 0.6bpg Lemarcus Aldridge's #'s by comparasion.)

Gilbert Arenas is also a VERY under rated player. (Bad personal choices are now leading his career rather then his playing) When healthy this guy has the capability to be one of the most deadly shooters and passers in the game.

These are in my honest opinion (not thier contracts, but their play as of right now) thee most under rated players in the league ..

I do not have a top ten.

I do have more "Over-rated" players then "Under-rated" lol

B-Roy  get his dues, especially with Mark Jackson and other former NBA players who are now analysts. They give him the love he deserves.

Anyway, arguably if you gave Dante those minutes that Beasley got in Miami then he just might get the same or better production.

i could see that, easily, agreed.

Gerald Green , man, he has some real potential. He can SHooot, no he can NAIL 3's. He can jump almost as high as shannon brown, who i believe took nate robinson out of the "highest vertical" category. He is missing his ring on one of his hands, but he can still ball. I dont think he's playing anymore, or at least not HERE(u.s) last i saw he was on Dallas, but he wasn't getting any playing time. dope guy though, love to see him come back.

He was on the Lakers summer leauge roste but I dont think he made their training camp roster and I dont know if he got a chance with another team or not.  I agree though, he is pretty similar to shannon brown and could actually be pretty good if he is given playing time.

You can teach X's and O's, when to pass, when to shoot, creating a shot, all teachable. But this is what my concern was with Bayless, if no one is willing to teach him these things, then in his mind its like, "they dont believe in me" or "im not doing that" and i would just have such a hard time believing that he would be hesitant.
Especially because it would lead to more playing time.
I am a fan of The Blazers ♂, the £-Train, and of course, The ¤ King. ™

also basketball iq is not necessary if you have that kind of athletisism and scoring ability.  I think basketball iq is necessary if you want to be a super star on both ends of the floor in this league, but if you are just wanting to be a spark to your team who provides energy and scoring ability it is not necessary.  Shannon Brown, Amare Stoudamire, Jamal Crawford and quite a few other players have pretty low basketball iq's yet they still manage to be major assets to their teams.
I am a fan of the Blazers draft selections. Feels good to finally be able to say that

Paul Allen said how do we get better?  I see no activity in the draft with no draft picks.  The trade possibilities are limited because of the value of our bench players.  We have no cap space.  So I think the improvement of our b...

First Game starts tonight. Houston is a tough first round opponent and they play exceptionally well at home. If we can steal a game or two at their place, I feel like we have extremely good chances.

P.S. Would anybody happen to have a...

The Blazers were winning!  That is the key word, were.  Blazers are living proof that you can live and die by the jumper.  Lately it has been dying.

Thank God they are 19 games over 500.  Mayb...

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
