Decide for yourself, via Washington Post-
Wizards had no trouble without Arenas, who was a late scratch from the lineup because he initially claimed soreness in his left knee.

Following the game, Arenas told reporters it was all a ruse in order to give Young the opportunity for more playing time.

"I know he's kind of frustrated he's not getting a chance to crack the three position, especially since we're going three guards, so I told him I'd go ahead and fake an injury or say something's wrong with me so you can start," a smiling Arenas said in the locker room.

When asked about the health of his knee, Arenas said, "I'm fine," and indicated he would play on Thursday in the Wizards' final home preseason game against Milwaukee.

With Arenas relegated to spectator status, Wizards Coach Flip Saunders indeed went with Young in the starting lineup, along with Wall and Hinrich in the three-guard rotation. It didn't take long for Wall to distinguish himself.

Personally, I like his intentions, but he should have went about it in a different manner. You get paid to play ball and if you're hurt, you've got to lace 'em up. Maybe asking their coach if he could come off the bench or have his minutes limited would have been a better option?

Wow supposedly he is hurt again today!   ha ha ha. Never cry wolf, especially if your whole career has already been riddled with injuries! Not the brightest guy in the world there, but I guess he already proved that last season.

Personally, I think it was cool of him to do. I'd say he's a good teammate.
True, he could of went about it a different way.
But I think that shows that he respects and cares about his teammates.
Which is rare these days, most guys are fighting about minutes, and he's giving them out!

Honestly if he approached the situation in a different manor it would have made him a great teammate...but it just didn't process the right way with him.

That dude should've been kicked outta the league. For some odd reason, Stern loves his thuggish ruggish players, and no one is gonna tell him any different. Maybe when real bullets do fly, then Stern my take his head outta his ....

I like that he's trying to be a good teamate, but instead of faking an injury he should have just explained the situation to his coach, and told him that he only wanted to play like 20 minutes or something instead of just sitting out the entire game because of a fake injury.  I'm sure Saunders would have been understanding and would have played Nick Young more than ussual had Arenas just done something like that.
I am a fan of the Blazers draft selections. Feels good to finally be able to say that

The problem with JJ remains the same at the 4 or 5 he is just not a good enough defender. Milsap and especially Smith are good defenders. The also both offer more on the offensive side than JJ does.

Exactamundo. Seriously though, both of you''ll are right. The blame should be placed on the attacker, not Lillard. That being said, Dame should have stepped in.

I completely agree. Pierce would bring a culture change. And we as a team really needed someone to help our young players through the tough times. Jeffires and Pavlovic were veterans who didn''t see much court time and from what I saw didn''t real...

Joakim Noah has had his injury troubles. His crazy game and high energy make him a constant injury threat. What separates him from Oden and Rose (I had to just mention him) is his willingness to play the way he loves.
