I want u guys to tell me do u guys think lamarcus is as good as chris bosh ? because they were both underated players last year because they both played on not that popular nba teams by the nba cause lets be honest ripcity is pretty underated even though i think we have proved ourselves as a top 10 team in the nba. But back to the point i belive alridge is as good as bosh and think bosh and him are the same because last year they both scored extremely good offense. but pretty bad D on occasions but bosh makes nba allstart eam and aldridge dont come on wtf ?

(SIGH)...If making the 2010/11 All-Star team means HALF as much to LaMarcus as it seems to with everyone else...he will be there

I feel he is as good as Bosh! I think he's one of the best PF in basketball. GO BLAZERS! 10 11 Champs

His rebounding numbers is his biggest factor. Plus he really needs to work on his defense. I love LMA but most PF pretty much have their way with him most of the time.

Lamarcus is not as good as Bosh. The only problem is he could be just as good if not better. But he refuses to rebound like a pf and he plays weak defense. He has one measly rebound at the half against the Jazz tonight. That is terrible. I think it is mental and I had high hopes for him this season but he seems ready to disappoint again.

L.A. is better because he's not a quitter. If LaMarcus had Bosh's opportunity in Toronto, he'd be an animal on the east. An All Star since his rookie season probably.  But this is the West, and on the West you have to earn your spot. Hell, if you win 35 games on the East you might be the 5th seed.

True if Lamarcus was in the East he probably could have been an All Star, but the fact remains, his rebounding is pretty lame for a pf and he's not smart on defense.

I had high hopes for LaMarcus this season, and so far I have been disappointed. He's still not banging around in the low-post nor is he getting to the rim as often as he should. If he continues to play the way he has, he should be traded soon. As for Roy, as I've watched him play these last couple of games, it seems like his heart hasn't been in the game. We need these guys to step up. I'm going to take back my previous statement of the Blazers being 2nd best out west and place them borderline playoff contender. It seems McMillian needs to re-evaluate his coaching style before he runs this team into the ground.

L.A. shouldnt even be compared to bosh until he grabs at LEAST 10 rebounds a game. CB4 averaged 24 and 11 last year in 36 minutes. LA averaged 18 and 8 in 37 minutes.  He doesnt need to score more he just needs to rebound more and block some shots before he can be compared to bosh or make the all star team

LA is LA, he looks great to me,  I will not compare him to any other pf in the league, until the Blazers quit settling for using him at center instead of seriously addressing the elephant in the room ( how much will Oden ever really play ? )

You have to give the nod to Bosh, because of his ability to face up his man, put the ball on the floor, and get to the hoop and/or the foul line. That is what separates the elite from the good.

Top ten team. WHOA. Idk about that......

LaMarcus Aldridge and Chris bosh are somewhat similar, they're both pretty talented on the offensive end. They can rise up and hit a decent 18-20 footer if they needed to. Pretty good post moves, and i mean, they're height, especially LA's, whats not to love?
Bosh gets to be an all star, because of his setup he had in Toronto, he was the team leader, it was Chris Bosh's team, and the Blazers are not particularly Aldridge's team. Bosh being what Toronto tried to build around, here's a guy who is big, quick, can break away with the ball and finish at the rim and perhaps draw thee and1, he's almost like a Small Forward, Power Center. But what makes him better than LaMarcus, is his ability to hit the medium rang j, i have said on so many occasions if Aldridge practiced that more, he too would see such an improvement in his game. Why? Because it gives you one more thing to work with. Being able to hit that J, one causes a match up problem for the defense, because due to LA's height, not many people are going to be able to block it, so perhaps a double team gets thrown, well now LA's got an open man, who potentially could be behind the arc, or whatever. Bosh has been able to dish out passes like that for the majority of his career, and yet another aspect of his game is, he's a 6'10 PF who can hit a 3. Thats gotta count for something, we've seen that before in players like Rasheed and Channing Frye, it works for some teams, it works for some players. Aldridge does slack off a bit when it comes to rebounding and i haven't the faintest idea why, he's got about an inch and ten pounds on bosh.
Bosh has performed well his entire career, he has led by example, by what he has learned, but has been playing on a team that hasn't gotten him very far, similar to Lebron, and Dwade, these guys lead almost the same way, and i know the heat 06 champs, but other than that, you can almost see why they're all together, but that isn't the point. the point is if Aldridge was traded to a team and the entire team was built around him, yeah he would be an all star and an Olympic gold medalist, but hes not, the blazers dont work that way, the organization has a very peculiar way of strategy, and i just gotta say, it better start working soon.

Bosh is better at the moment because he has a better command of the triple threat. Both can shoot, LA is getting at it more on the boards now, but Bosh has a quicker first step  after he jabs and makes his defender react out of the triple threat and he looks to finish strong around the rim.  LA is starting to incorporate his face-up game better now and has started to go stronger to the basket but i think as he become more confident and accustom to faceing up and taking him man strong to the cup he can surpass bosh

    Aldridge comparison:

    Xavier McDaniel -
    - Fluid shooter, great fade, offensively dangerous on all parts of the floor, unselfish player, put bundles of buckets together, tough and underrated defender and rebounder.

Henson will be solid down the road but his ceiling is more like Taj Gibson. He is a great role player but not elite like Sanders and Ibaka could be if people were not so willing to shoot on him.
