    And it is paying off....
    Oregon Live-
"I love D.C.," McMillan said. "He plays the game the right way. I've heard people talk about Wesley, and how he plays the way I want. Well, D.C. plays the way I want. He's physical, he defends first, and offensively he's pretty solid with his jump shot. But his main thing is he is normally in the right place defensively."

Cunningham is firmly entrenched as the Blazers' backup power forward to LaMarcus Aldridge, a role that figures to have increased now that Aldridge will share time at center after Jeff Pendergraph suffered a season-ending right knee injury on Thursday.

If the team's three preseason games are any indication, Cunningham is up to the task. He is averaging 14.0 points and 8.7 rebounds while playing aggressive defense. In the past two games he has had 18 points and 10 rebounds at Utah and 15 points and 10 rebounds at Denver.
"Doing all the dirty work is what I pride myself in; I actually love doing that," Cunningham said. "A lot of times you don't get the media attention, but at the end of the day, that's what helps a team win, that's what makes a championship team."

I'm liking the toughness direction our team is heading in. Wesley, Joel, Dante, and Jerryd all bring that hard-nosed style of play that will only wear down teams over the course of 48 minutes.

    Abba so loot ly
DC, Jerryd, and Pendergraph's smashmouth type basketball is something we've been missing on this team for some time. Heart and intelligence, over late night parties and getting arrested.

After seeing the team live last night for the first time this season they do seem a bit tougher and really dialed in the D from last season. DC, Wesley, and Bayless on that second unit changes gears both on offense and on defense.

Gotta love DC's mindset, that last quote saids it all.

Pat Riley said this: You get rebounds, you win rings!!! More often than not, the team who wins the battle on the boards will win the game. Rebounds on both ends are extremely important.

I think the reason Lillard says he likes McCollum is because their games are so similar. How can you not like CJ McCollums game. For real Im on the trade LA for the Wizards #3 pick bandwagon, then draft Noel, or trade it, or maybe get DeAndre Jord...

What happens if we don''t win? Dwight will start his nonsense, we would be out a lot of money, and with no real talent to show for it. San Antonio and Memphis is proof that you don''t need superstars to win.

You trolling Cmeese? I mean I hate how biased it is. If a woman slaps a man, people will probably be like what did that b*stard do, probably cheated on her, that pig. But if a man slaps a woman, even if it is completely justified, OMG abuse, 2013 ...

Special K, aren''t you a cereal? And yes, Batum is expensive, but I think he''s worth it. Why would you take someone who isn''t is as good, just for less money. Then why don''t we take the worst possible player and pay him the least possible amoun...
