Does anybody else see a mini Dennis Rodmen in Dante Cunningham? D.C. is 6'8" and 225 and D.R. is 6'7" 228.  They are built pretty much the same and both are dirty work players.  Dante has the athletic ability to grab every single board.  He is quick enough to gaurd S.F. and strong enough to gaurd the 4. (you have to see him up close, he is RIPPED)
Portland doesnt need to look for a back up for LA when we have Dante

i have liked Dante since I saw him last year he is a pure work athlete not gifted to be an all-star but has the work and ability to make him coveted.  I like your comparison to Rodman but let just hope DC isn't a dirty player... Or somebody that marries themself...

Dennis Rodman was as much a one-of-a-kind ON the court, as he was OFF of it, and there will likely not be another like him...good or bad.  That said, as a fan of his and of DC's...I don't ever close my eyes when Cunningham shoots that nice little mid-range or goes to the free throw line (like I had to with Rodman).  Here's hoping that future 4s will want to be compared to Dante Cunningham of the Portland Trailblazers

As much as I like DCs hustle...in no way is he going to be even close to Dennis Rodman. Rodman lead the league in rebounds during the time where the league had Olajuwan, Mutumbo, Ewing and other great players that I can't think of.Rodman should be in the hall of fame.

I LOVE DANTE!  He is one of the most exciting Blazers to watch in my opinion.  Him and Nic are my faves.  <3

Backup 4? My answer is anyone who's healthy! Dante will/should be the primary backup, but Babbitt is in the Outlaw mold of versatile 4 who can spread the floor, Batum has the length and quickness to play spot minutes there, and Wesley's already playing there a little bit because he's just a tough, physical player.

Dante's work ethic is great, his basketball iq is great, his attitude is great. while he may never receive the acclaim of Rodman, i can see the similarities in styles.

I think Dante's screws are a little more tight than Dennis who has more than a few loose up there if you know what I'm sayin'...

Dante was raised in a military family. We NEVER have to worry about his screws coming loose, or him backing down from any player regardless of size.  Thank you Mr and Mrs Cunningham !!
Agree ^^  Luke can play the back up 4 too, if needed. Both Luke and Dante rebound more than Travis did.

perfect reasoning, Kim. both of my parents were (and still are) in the military. Dante definitely has his head screwed on straight. i'd even venture to say that his parents are a major reason he stayed in college all four years.

The problem with JJ remains the same at the 4 or 5 he is just not a good enough defender. Milsap and especially Smith are good defenders. The also both offer more on the offensive side than JJ does.

Exactamundo. Seriously though, both of you''ll are right. The blame should be placed on the attacker, not Lillard. That being said, Dame should have stepped in.

Sanders is 6''11" Cailin he is about 5 pounds lighter than LA so his size should not be an issue.

I completely agree. Pierce would bring a culture change. And we as a team really needed someone to help our young players through the tough times. Jeffires and Pavlovic were veterans who didn''t see much court time and from what I saw didn''t real...

Joakim Noah has had his injury troubles. His crazy game and high energy make him a constant injury threat. What separates him from Oden and Rose (I had to just mention him) is his willingness to play the way he loves.
