that's from twitter at around 10 p.m. today, and it can only mean good news for us. i've had the feeling that Joel is going to be ready right around time for the regular season opener. we've got two-and-a-half weeks. given our injury status, i think this is significant.

I'm liking the sound of this! BUT.....lets hope its not rushed. I don't wanna see big joel go down again. that will pry be a career ender if anything major happens

i'm worried about that too, but i've been hearing for a while that he's ahead of schedule, and he's feeling good.

    We need a big.
Cho should make a move to get a post player. I agree, we definately don't need Greg and Joel to try and hurry to make it back on the court sooner then expected, just to mess up all the off-season work they've done.

That is great news! I wonder when he would be ready to play in a game? Hopefully within a couple weeks of the regular season. Geez I should start using my twitter account again for all these updates today!

thanks guys. i'm not sure when this means he might be ready, but i don't think the b;azers, doctors or Joel would rush his return. i think this has more to do with Joel's incredible work ethic. i also wonder if when he re-injured it in the shower, it wasn't as severe as the initial injury.

Mike Barrett reported on his blog that in early september Joel was running sprints at the practice center. since then, i've been optimistic about Joel's return.

I wish we knew why Oden has a slight limp. Is it his knee or did he get a charlie horse or something.

it may be from the tendonitis he's experiencing.

I know, it may be from tendinitis, but no one said, they just said he has a slight limp. It just seems weird that Joel hurt himself after Oden... TWICE, and he may be ready before Oden is.

i was curious about that too, which is why i don't think Joel's re-injury was as serious as the initial injury.

Thanks K. Pryzbilla is a beast. I think if he isnt 100% we'll notice. I also think that he's smart enough to know his limitations. I got a lot of love for that dude though. He's a warrior.

I love Joel, he's solid on defense and rebounds well, but mostly I like his leadership and unselfishness. Plus now that Shaq is on his way out, there is no one, size-wise, that can actually be more physical than him. I mean Yao's bigger but he is not really aggressive that way and he has very limited minutes this year. I hope he is back soon. I hope Greg is back soon though also.

Jermaine O''Neal, Drazen, Z-Bo, Sheed (I know he was already a star but still). Also Drazen was buried under Drexler and Porter.

What happens if we don''t win? Dwight will start his nonsense, we would be out a lot of money, and with no real talent to show for it. San Antonio and Memphis is proof that you don''t need superstars to win.
