    I guess cho is gonna have to get to work and possibly make a package deal with jeff,pryz and rudy? what do you guys think? I don't want to get rid of joel and think we should just get dampier for now

    Who knows whats gunna happen, but Nate was quoted saying they need to acquire a big for the rest of preseason and perhaps regular season. I wish we had a timeline on Oden/Joel....but those things are hard to give a timeline for and cant be rushed. But I have a feeling we will be hearing some rumors tossed around. Guess we just have to wait and see.

    Oh and didn't dampier sign with the bobcats? or was that just a rumor?

    Dampier is still a FA. He was traded to the Bobcats and then waived by them.

    No getting rid of Joel. My answer is to easy I think, cut bait with Rudy let his Spanish team buy out his contract,  and sign Dampier ??
    Still waiting to hear how serious Pendergraphs knee is today.

    I wouldn't panic. Just stay above water until December when Joel and Greg come back, then we'll be fully stocked.

    When our centers get healthy we wouldn't want to be having that many... I say find somebody that we wouldn't have to sign for the whole season. I think Nate said that at one point, just find someone until Joel and Oden get back. The situation sucks but I think we will be fine

    The answer to the OP's questions via Oregon Live-
     General manager Rich Cho on Friday said he will first take a short-term approach and sign a player by early next week. As the Oct. 26 season opener nears, he said he will gauge the progress of rehabilitating centers Greg Oden and Joel Przybilla, and decide whether the Blazers need to sign a center for the regular season roster. If Cho does decide to sign a center for the regular season, he will have to release one of his current players, most likely Pendergraph.

    “We’re going to bring in another big on a training camp contract and go from there,’’ Cho said.

    Cho said he has a short list of players, some of whom are playing overseas and some of whom are on NBA training camp rosters, but may be cut soon.

    But what team would trade a healthy big for an injured one and some bench guys.?

    Ok TayC.. might be kind of funny at the thought of signing Sheed but that would actually be awesome.  Didnt he move back here anyways?  Maybe he'd like to help Portland out until we are back on our feet?  LOL.
