    From ClubBlazers-
Rich Cho had a deal agreed upon with Chicago and Rudy's agent passed the good news to Rudy back in Europe.

Chicago agreed to give up their 2011 1st round pick and either the rights to Utah or Phoenix 2011 second round pick.

So Cho took the proposal of having Rudy traded over the weekend before the start of Fall Camp to Paul Allen.

Paul turned down the offer and said he could buy a low 1st pick for $3M. Allen wants more for Rudy and told Cho to come up with a better offer.

Discovery does have his sources, so this isn't just some random internet report you'd usually find. Hopefully if Rudy continues to shoot the lights out, his trade value will be greater than a low 20's pick, which PA could simply buy with his own change anyways.

Than maybe Cho could use that pick in acquiring the next puzzle in winning a championship, i.e. another player in the league as of now. No more rookies, unless we get a high drafted PG, but that's just my opinion.

You gotta have rookies every year if you want to be smart with the salary cap in the NBA, with Roookie's contracts being set by pick not by the wishes  of the player's agent, it keeps small market teams (who can't get veterans to sign at the league minimum like Miami) having a chance to compete with teams that can attract free agents at a lesser rate.
I like this move by Allen, he's throwing the dice on Rudy, and if anyone's going to gamble with my money (or Pauls money in this case) I think it's a good time and test for Cho, if he can pull this off and make something more beneficial with a player who keeps ruining his own stock, then we all will be chanting In Cho we now Trust too.

I think the pick would have to be below 20 for me to bite..its just to easy in this day and age for Paul to buy a 23-27 pick for $3 mill.

The last piece of the puzzle is a young and talented point guard, let's get it done.

I believe we have two of those already :D
Bayless has been playing lights out and Armon has all the makings of a young Greg Anthony, a perfect backup point guard.

Simpson where is this source because I am pretty sure no one on this planet would have Batum 3rd on a SF list let alone a SG/SF list.

You do not need to be a great rebounding team, if your team is efficient (Miami near 50% shooting), gets to the foul line a lot (Miami), does not allow many offensive rebounds, forces turnovers (Miami), and does not give up a lot of easy points (M...

Or maybe just maybe half the people know on this site that Portland will end up signing some scrub like Samuel Dalembert and maybe a couple mediocre bench players and Portland improved enough to sneak into the playoffs. Then once you get beaten in...

First need is a centre. And no one will take ten and 13 for 4th or 5th. After like the 10th pick the talent off is huge.
