    From ESPN Chicago-
Chicago Bulls forward Carlos Boozer has a broken right hand that will require surgery, and he is expected to be out eight weeks, the team announced Sunday afternoon.

Boozer suffered the injury on Saturday during the Bulls' day off. According to team sources, Boozer tripped over a bag in his house and fell.

The team says Boozer broke the fifth metacarpal bone in his hand. He was evaluated by team physician Dr. Brian Cole and hand specialist Dr. Marc Cohen of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush.

Big news for the Blazers since he'll miss our Nov. 1st matchup in Chicago. We are going to be without our two centers, so this is huge. Otherwise, we were looking at a big size disadvantage, but the playing field is leveled some now.

Wait... but we still would have had Camby and Aldridge to go up against their bigs so we should have been ok anyway, right? I mean Camby is taller than Noah and LA is taller than Booz.Or did you mean our 3 centers?

Maybe the Bulls won't be the fifth-ranked team in the power rankings going into the season anymore.

If the Bulls weren't in the Eastern Conference, I might care a little more.

Man O man, I think the Bulls will kill this year. I think they have an overall better roster than the Miami Heat.

Sucks to be him. I'm dealing with the exact same injury right now. Broke the same bone in July messing with the boat trailer. Had it in a cast for almost 2 months, and 10 weeks later it STILL hurts like a SOB. I'm a little older, but if he can be back in 8 weeks I'll be shocked. The good thing is I'm pretty much left handed now. Could be a good thing for Boozer too in the long run for the same reason.

Taller means absolutely nothing unless you actually use your length. Its about timing. Bill Russell was a master of timing. God rest him, i wish we could ask Wilt Chamberlain.Boozer and tall shouldnt even be in the same sentence by forward/center standards. He just has the heart of a lion and plays amongst the big boys and not out jumps them, but beats them to the ball by timing it's projected trajectory off of the rim or backboard. Its all math really.

I have the Bulls coming out of the East this year.  The acquisition of Boozer will likely mean for the Bulls what the addition of Buck meant to the Blazers.  Their team chemistry may be postponed with the injury, but only postponed.

I don't really think they are good enough to beat the Celtics, Magic or the Heat, but we'll see at the end of the year.

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
