Fanfest scrimmage

    I cant get to a TV tonight to watch and cant get to the arena is there somewhere that will be streaming the scrimmage on the net for free?
    I am a fan of competing til the final buzzer!!!!!!!!!!

    Hey man, I can help ya out. Go to www.justin.tv  go to live sports and then choose basketball. Someone is streaming the game. Enjoy!!

    It was on comcast, and for those of you who have comcast, but missed it,and don't dvr,  it is being replayed tomorrow at 1:30 pacific time.

    It was another great fan fest.  The best things about tonight, imo :

    1. It is the start of Blazer season !!!!
    2. The crowd did not boo Rudy, and cheered for him when he made shots. Alls well when shots fall.
    3. Matthews has an offensive game too .
    4. Joel is coming back !!
    5.The announcer asked fans to finish his announcement before the starting lineup with "our house " (absolutely loved it, other fans, wish they were Blazer fans )
    6. The new Harlow chick, seems to at least understand what color to wear.

    After seeing WM, AJ, and EW in person, as much as I like JBay and Rudy, I have to seriously think about how they fit in Nates system. They are both great players. But are they Nate players ? 
    I don't have a problem with Rudy going back to Europe. His minutes are gone with WM and EW here now.
    I also really like JBays work ethic, and he has worked hard on being pg, but he wants to score, and at times looks like a fish out of water.  I think he deserves to play more somewhere else. I could trade JBay and Rudy for a big. The main reason ......

    The not so great thing tonight, seeing Oden with ice on his knee for the 3rd year :(

    Bring on the NBA !

    If comcast were ever on top of things, they should have streamed it. But they were supposedly going to start streaming every game online last year by or around December. Getting close to a year later now and I still haven't heard anything other than streaming the KGW games, which is stupid. I don't want to pay for league pass because they black out games, and I don't want to get overpriced comcast just for Blazer cable, but I would buy a Blazer streaming game season package. Comcast is pretty lame when it comes to keeping up with trends, even their HD feed quality is lousy compared to TNT or ESPN. They also only went to all HD games last year! They seem like a company trying to cut as many corners as possible while charging the most that they can for a state of the art product, which they do not have.

    Wesley and Bayless were the most impressive players out there. Our bench is going to be loaded (finy wasyally). Wesley was playing suffocating defense and played the passing lanes to a tee and his jumper was cash. I think we found a player with some upside. Bayless really had the distributing look in his eye. He picked and choose when to score and played at a much nicer tempo.

    Elliot and Armon are going to be good but until they can prove to be a threat shooting the ball, the defense will just sag off. Elliot looks like he can rebound well for his position and Armon jut gets to the lane at will. Solid outing.

    Overall, I thought the guys looked good and ready to start the season. We'll be even more loaded once our centers get back healthy. If it' possible, I think we may have too much depth. When Armon, Rudy and Joel could be considered 3rd string..wow

    aldridge looked good to i could definitely see the weight he put on and wesley definitely doesnt look like a second year player man are team is going to be good so much depth idk what there going to do

    YEAh I noticed Aldridge definitely looked beefier in his legs... actually all around. And all the players with something to prove played real hard today, the starters played well, but you could tell they were out there being calm and secure. Man wesley is a considerable upgrade to our bench, as well as Bayless continuing to improve. Matthews, 6th man of the year candidate already!

    Still, the biggest thing for me about bringing Wes here, Brandon is gonna get that much better having to go at him every day in practice, and Wesley just seems relentless, something Brandon is not necessarily known for. Maybe Wes can light a fire under Roy this year.

    Guys, it was on justin.tv, trust me I watched the whole thing. You had to go to live sports and then look for the basketball listing. Too bad you missed it, but it was certainly as described in my post above.

    Thanks for the responses guys but I ended up going to the fanfest anyways. It was quite enjoyable. My boy Luke Babbitt killed the Dougie dance. HAHA.

    bayless showed that he can pass too.

    i really only saw 2 bad things he did. the 3 point shot at the end of the quarter and he left his feet to pass one time. other than that? he did well. i very much enjoyed the litle dump off to mathews when bayless drew the defence. was unexpected and showed that hes improved.

    credit where credit is due. now can he constantly play defence and not let dragic blow by him but keep nash infront of him.... and can he show he can pass in the regular season.  time will tell.  but looks promising.

    LA does look bigger. Is it the beard factor?

    Best play of the night? Bayless' killer crossover on Andre which left him looking for his shorts because he got SHOOK. Even Dre knew it a he was smiling for a while afterward.

    Im still sickened by the fact that i couldnt attend the game. Fortunately for me, i was born in 66, an era where imagination was all we had. So i imagined i was at the game, while the play by play assist were coming from Blazers edge. I spoke highly of Matthews when we got him. Glad i was right. The kid is a beast. My daughter went and judging by the expression on her face, she believes. I played ball with my baby since she was tiny, and she loves the game. She plays for her school, and a couple of alternative programs, and absolutely shines at the pg spot. So when she tells me , Dad, the one dude, Matthews was killin. Direct quote.
    I dont know about you guys, but im ready. By the way, Armon, what kind of range? I heard his pick and roll skills were surprisingly decent. Fact or no ?

    That is exactly why I did not name my MANY free online alternatives to this ridiculous comcast situation. But on the legal side, is FIOS the only other cable tv company offering Blazer cable?

    I don't understand how it all works, thanks Hawes for the answer.  One question , does comcast have the rights to the internet viewing also, like the Blazer channel ??
    The comcast deal needs to be fixed please Larry Miller.

    It sucks not being to see our Blazers when we want, or how we want to.  Today I bought a new car that I needed, instead of trying to buy Blazer tickets on line for another week. I think most people would pay if given the option. This team is that good !!


    LA does look bigger. More junk in his trunk, don't think it's the beard.  But I still don't like him at center. I need to see more Pendergraph, and can't wait for big Joel to rip the warmups off !!!

    yeah I would definitely pay for an online season blazer package, but I don't ever watch TV so I don't want to buy cable for 8 or 9 months every year just so I can BUY another package on top of that to get the blazer games! Comcast is just screwing everything up. I mean even their guy in the commercials can't even say net right! He says sports nat!!
    So for now I watch all the non televised games online for free and sometimes I go to games.
    I was also thinking about getting NBA LP but their customer service is horrible. I can't figure out how the games will be blacked out with what criteria. Something based on your ip address I think.

    I attended Fanfest and was surprised to see that Camby did not play does someone have an update on his status?

    No need to risk Camby getting hurt in a scrimmage at this point. He is fine.

    Actually that is not true. He has a strained groin and is even questionable for Tuesday's pre season opener.

    Im not impressed with Gortat. Everyone wants him but he seems mediorcre to me. He is the most realistic option since all it would take is the 10th pick, but I think he is old and declining.
