    There aren’t too many players who have the size and skill-set LA has, but out in Portland, OR the Trail Blazers have about as versatile a player at the power forward position that you could ask for. With a back to the basket game that seems to be improving year-in-and-year out, a solid mid-range game, and a great touch around the rim with either hand, Aldridge is in prime position to take his game to the next level.

    After attending the University of Texas and proving that he had the necessary skills and ceiling that was worthy of being selected as the second overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft (by Chicago traded for Tyrus Thomas), Aldridge is now entering his fifth season in the League. While LA has shown flashes of dominance and has been expected to up his game constantly, he just turned 25 years old and should be entering the prime portion of his career. As a generally accepted rule of thumb, big men tend to advance/hone their repertoires at a slower rate than the way that guards advance their skills. Aldridge is a guy who is extremely skilled but the hardest part is putting it all together—figuring out how to show up with a consistent effort on both ends night in and night out, which brings me to my next point.

    Considering the players he was ranked above (Noah, Odom, Horford), I can't really complain about this rankings. They praise LA a lot in this article, but if he puts together the type of year everyone is expecting, his ranking will rise. The comparisons to KG and Dirk after 4 years was pretty interesting to look at as well. The only questions is, will LA take that proverbial next step and raise his game to the level of a KG?

    Seems about right, though I guarantee there will be no fewer than 5 players who will be ranked above LaMarcus who won't deserve the distinction.

    Ya dude, i first liked Tryus Thomas alot, saw him on chicago, T-Time, he was deace. Then i found out he was traded for aldridge and im like NO WAY! Dude like the Bulls could of been like really good you know, hahaha.

    But aldridge is really an amazing player, he belongs in the NBA, he's 6'11 with his jumpshot being released around what, 7'3, 7'4. Damn, hard to match up against that, but he's got to be Money MONEY with that shot before i can continue boasting.

    I do not agree with "ranked over Odom" I'f i love Aldridge, then  i am ODOM.hah
    He's the most underrated player in the NBA, probably one of the biggest deciding factors when it comes to the Lakers winning on a nightly basis.
    I waatched probably over 30 laker games over @ my grandfathers last year, and him and i watched everynight how if either Odom or Bynum wasnt getting close to or more than 10 boards and points, the lakers would lose. He is 6'9/6'10 plays SF. PF, C, he could play ANYWHERE, he's got a sliky J, can create for himself and teamates on offense, CAN USE BOTH HANDS, and he can even hit the 3Ball. Odom has such restraint for not crying out like a little bia (like rudy) for riding that bench, he could go out and find a place to start, but he seemed happy. But i give it a couple more years before he retires or finds a new team, which he better START!GODOM

    Splitter would fill our needs the best. Pekovic isn''t great defensively but a solid rebound and a muscle man who would do decent. Al Jefferson is a less polished LMA with not as good defence and his rebounding is decreasing.
