There have been a lot of talk about us competing against the nuggets for the division, But are we over looking the Jazz or the Thunder? I think OKC could be a force this year with the way they played last year. Durant really showed a lot of growth in the world championships. I just saying even if Melo is gone from denver the division is not going to be a cake walk.

    Thank you.
Oh..... Thank you. Your Blazer pride has not affected your vision. thank god.
    we got a survivor.
But really though you are right about OKC, biggest threat to the team, people on this website are thinking like phil jackson last post season. OKC ripped on LA, and LA could do nothing but let it happen. Plus, like you said, Durant v World in the fiba games.
As for the Jazz, shewwwt man, the whole darn team practically plays for chigago now, so surprised Sloan didnt throw his old jersey on and jump on the wagon this summer.
But the Jazz have the Sloan, who is the coach with the most post season victories without a title btw, and the Thunder, have the lightning with Durant++Westbrook.

OKC has a significant need in the low block.  Until and unless that need is addressed, they will go no further than the second round...as good and as dominant as KD is.  The fact that Erick Dampier is still out there and available makes me nervous.  Without that type of post presence however, Portland > OKC in a series.  History has shown though, that a Jerry Sloan coached team should never be overlooked.  Denver, with or without Mello, won't be there at the finish line.

Like B-Dawg said, Dampier cannot go to the Thunder.  I know he's not a dominant force by any means, but he's an experienced low block player who will almost assure them a spot in the second round and maybe even deeper.  I'd be happy if Dampier signed with another contender like the Jazz, Rockets, or Spurs, just as long as he doesn't sign with the Thunder.

IMO it will most likely be a rat race between us the Jazz, Nuggets, and Thunder for the division title. Denver is still a contender with Melo. OKC with Durant, Green, and Russell, and the Jazz always seem to defy the odds against them.

I think the Thunder are over-rated. Kevin Durant is an amazing athlete and a scoring machine. Westbrook will continue to grow into a great PG. But outside of them who do they really have? I mean this was all being said about the Blazers this last off-season, and how did we do last season?. However, I still believe the Jazz maintain a threat, and the Nuggets as well, as long as Carmelo is still with them. The Blazers are a good team, but I would'nt say the Division title is in the bag. Jerry Sloan is an amazing coach, you never know what he's going to whip up, as with Karl. All we can do is hope our players stay healthy.

(I should've noted this above) The Blazers did great for having a "Slaughtered" roster last season.

I''m not talking about those kinda calls, but phantom calls. Kobe gets soooo many phantom calls. I like Lebron, but I know because he''s a superstar he gets certain actions overlooked. Kobe just gets random stuff called. Remember when Kobe smacked...

Oh, sorry Damian, you make so many I stopped reading them. I don''t because I don''t know much about salaries and stuff. Stephenson would be great, excellent rebounder, Tough Defender, is playing awesome in  today''s  game.

Siccolo, did you mean heavier or lighter? I don''t think Noel will do well in the league. If he stays healthy long enough, he might be a half decent starter, if not, Greg Oden.

Damian, you are completely right on that, let''s just hope it''s not a negative impact (Shout out, Ray Ray). And since when did people WANT to come to Portland? This is great.
