I believe Kobe has peaked.  He will now look to become more of a jumpshooter, much like MJ did in his later years.  Still effective, but not as explosive or physically able to absorb the punishment hard takes involve over an 82+ game season.  IMO, KD is ready to accept that crown in '10/'11...and will.

Kobe has tow years, of about 28+ ppg left in him, after that, well he will drop considerably, though his production will still be high, I think he will become less of a ball hog and his team will have to learn not always to depend on him in the clutch.

Bryant still has many years left. hes only in his early thirtys and he dont drive as much or as hard. plus kobe knows his team can win without him so it takes stress off him and lets him prepare for the post season.

Kobe Bryant is 32 years old, he will be entering his 14/15th year in the NBA. Now MJ, played 14, 15 if you really count the wizards, years in the NBA, when he came back in 2000 he just wasnt the same though, he'd aged significantly. Kobe however, never stops impressing, each year he pulls something off that everyone thought he never would, something amazing. Thats what makes him one of the best players in the league, the fact that soo many doubt and try to disbelieve, and no matter what it doesnt get to him, he'll pull it off. Now, at the same time, theyre are some aspects of the guys game that have weathered away over the years, you know, example, you can watch him take post shot, back to the basket, and he would sink it 10/10 times, now days its more of a 50/50. But the more people that come out of the closet and say the "hate" or dislike him, the more he wants to continue on, keep goin that extra mile, he feeds off doubt.

Overall in my opinion, from having watched this guy as a little kid, to now, the only way i see it is, Kobe will go till 36, MAYBE 38. Or... OR, untill he breaks Kareem record, of All time leading scorer for the NBA. and im really leaning toward all time scorer

It's hard to predict when Kobe will decline because he hasn't even had an identifiable "peak."  He's just kept getting better.  His scoring averages over the years have been all over the place, and I think if he wanted, he could average over 30 easily.  As of now, he can do virtually whatever he wants when he's on the court.  However, I think his decline will start soon because he started playing when he was 18.  It happened to Jermaine O'Neal and KG.

he will probably play at the level he is now untill he is 35 or 36, and then will still be very good untill he is close to 40, but he won't be playing as many minutes and won't demand the ball as much since he is smart enough to realize that he can not be the go to scorer for 82 games at age 40 without tiring or getting injured.  But I think that because of his style of play and ability to adjust his game when needed, he will be capable of this type of production for at least a few more years.

I've watched this kid continuously get better since he came into the league. Eighteen year old cocky baby afro wearing, overgrown adam's apple having raw talent that was immediatedly penned the second coming. Im a Blazer fan period Bam ! Just like that, in your face,Red White & Black Shakalaka. I still have to give credit where its due. Kobe is nasty with the rock, and will go down as one of the nastiest. Like all of us though, no matter what you do for a living, the hopes are that one day you'll be so good at your job that your flow is effortless. Or the more commonly known, working smarter, not harder. Im not going to insult the game with a SWAG [ scientific wild anal guess] as to how long he'll play. His skill is extraordinary, I just hope he knows when enough is enough.

I really think this year is his last. We all saw his Game 7 performance. It was ugly. He sure wasn't the reason the Lakers won that game. A prime Kobe would have never played that poorly. He's got a lot of miles on his legs and is on the decline.

I wonder how many more years he wants to play, I am a laker hater, but i'm pretty sure they are going to three-peat this year if Bynum can stay healthy, they are sooo deep in all the right places this coming season. What more does he have to prove after that?

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
