Who is the Greatest Point Guard in Trail Blazers Franchise History?
    Terry Porter (35)
    Rod Strickland (2)
    Damon Stoudamire (8)
    Darnell Valentine (0)
After voting in ESPN's Greatest Trail Blazers Starting 5 , I wanted to take it one step further and find out why people voted the way they did. So here's how this will play out. Every 3-5 days or so, I'll post a new poll with 5 options for that specific position. Once the Starting 5 is taken care of, there will be a vote for 'Super Subs' where I'll pool together a list of the players who didn't win their position battles. Users will be able to vote up to 3 players(1 center, 1 froward, 1 guard) to fill out our 8-man rotation. Chemistry matters as well, so we will need to vote on 4 role players to fill out the roster. These players will consist of Trail Blazers who came off the bench the majority of their playing career. Once we have our team in place, they need someone to coach them, right?  All right, here we go...

Terry Porter, hands down. He was a major contributor on the best 3 year stretch in franchise history. While Clyde got the pub, it was Terry who was the one taking and making clutch shots right and left. I still will never forget him completely outplaying John Stockton in the 92 WCF.

TP gets my vote, hands down.  Co-captain of the greatest Blazer squad since '77, the team responsible for my Blazer loyalties now.  When his best was needed, he was AT his best (a Michael Holton-ism).  HUGE character guy as well, and a real credit to the organization... and still to this day, active in our community.  Straight up CLASS.  Thank you for the memories #30!

I know TP is the best out of the choices, but I had to go with DS because He was so small out there and had huge heart, and also from portland, and a tat of his grand ma on his body - I just liked to watch him play, but TP was a better point Guard.

Porter. That guy was so clutch for us and unfortunately, I think he got overshadowed a lot by the national media simply because of who was in his era: Magic, Stockton, Payton, Kevin Johnson, etc.

Terry Porter. Check out Rick Adelmans stats when you get time pretty impressive even though 90% was ABA. Damon Stoudamire could have easily been the best if he could have controlled his off court antics.

Terry Porter.  Don't know too much, but if I know he's better than the other three, he's probably that good.  He gets my vote.

I will usually wait until we get to 50 votes until I can declare a winner, but with 34 of the 44 votes, would anyone have a problem with Terry Porter being announced as the winner for starting point guard on the Greatest Trail Blazers Team of All-Time?

Hawes will be a hot commodity by the trade deadline, I would think the sixers could find a better offer.

However, I do believe Mo Williams could have somewhat of  a high trade value. Olshey needs to make a deal to get a big man while we...
